So what happened to the rotation system for unified champions? Are the alphabet groups not honoring that anymore when it suits them?

at least Bivol has a trilogy fight scheduled after 2 competitive fights.
CON-elo pulled b!tch and made excuse after excuse to not fight him. Continue celebrating the Scull and BerNALGAS and Cross-eyed Muñeca fights NOBODY asked for. Weirdo

Canelo doesn't really have reason to have maneuvered the way he did, there wasn't really any deserving fighters outside of the two Davids, specially Benavidez stating he didn't accomplish enough.
He did compared to two former light Middleweight champions, one that didn't really do much at 160-168 (Munguia) and one that was fighting two divisions below at that point (Charlo). Dirrell, Gvozdyk, Plant and Morrell would likely put them in the dirt. Even Lemiux and Andrade are more legitimate opponents as they were formerly champions at 160 before acclimating above. (With Andrade rehydrating up to 190)
Berlanga never earned a title unlike Benavidez who did twice at 168 earlier on and although he got it by email at 175, to be fair it's not like DB wasn't willing to fight for it though. Edgar biggest win is a controversial win over a declined version of one of David's lesser wins, in a title challenger former contender Angulo who Benavidez stopped when the Colombian was coming off a fresh upset and 5 top ranked fighter in the WBO and WBC, though David lost the title due to missing weight.
Berlanga's second biggest win was over Coceres, who was already in the downslide yet managed to rock him and knock him down. Berlanga also a taped sparring with Erickson Lubin, who knocked him down.
What's funny is that Canelo states that Benavidez only brings 25 pounds and didn't accomplish anything, yet he had fought at light heavyweight and was willing to fight at cruiserweight for a title albeit at a catchweight of 180. Benavidez still has plenty of time yet has notable wins over Andrade, Morrell, Gvozdyk, PlantEl_Mero likes this.

How can anyone defend Benavidez? He had a guaranteed shot at undisputed ! But no,he chooses the wbc email belt. And yes, it was his choice.

Who has seen the proposed $8M offer in writing and what is the detail behind it?
I am also sure of one more thing - Bivol and Beterbiev were circling each other for years finding reasons NOT to fight each other and unify (no matter who is to blame). It wasn't until Turki came along and offered life changing (probably retirement) money to both of them that magically two fights were made relatively quickly. Now, suddenly, in two seconds flat PBC is offering Bivol 3 times more money than he made for fighting the most dangerous guy at 175 by people who have more money than water and do not need to make a profit on a fight card? GTFOH.

Have to agree that with this, with Bivol although unfortunate, it isn't a duck considering he is taking on another accomplished hard hitting fighter that he is 1-1 with. Though I would prefer Benavidez vs Bivol, at least it does not mean it's not going to happen in the future.
