If you look at Keith Thurman's record of fighting in his last 3 fights over almost 6 years, he basically looks like a fighter who retired twice for almost 3 years and came back from retirement. If we have learned anything from the history of boxing, he is now a very much diminished fighter who is using his name for a last couple of paychecks for his retirement. He can still run his mouth to promote a fight but will struggle against any of the hungry young lions at the top of division.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.

Spencer seemed to be walking just fine after the stoppage.
It seemed another questionable stoppage, but then again, he didn't seem to complain. No, the referee does not have to accept the corner throwing in the white towel.
Anyway, good performance, although you wouldn't think Tszyu could beat Murtazaliev in any rematch.BlackRobb likes this.

I hope he comes back and wins it all.
Agreed . I don't understand the dislike and disrespect for Tim Tszyu on this site. If you're a fan of boxing , what is there to dislike about Tszyu ? Dude will fight whoever they put in front of him and shows up to fight hard every time. His corner and over confidence screwed him in the Fundora fight and he fought Murtazaliev like a moron. He seems to have acknowledged that mistake and learned from it.eco1

You wonder know why? It’s because Thurman can punch and has never been overmatched or evenly remotely stopped or knocked out in his entire career but Tim has.
Thurman’s only loss could be attributed to injuries and inactivity. Could Tim Tzsyu say the same thing? Yeah, I thought so.

So far, he has not shied away from fighting anyone, so I am not sure why you would write that or imply that he would be scared of fighting your favorite prospect.
All I meant to say is that Charles does not have a name recognition just yet for any of the leading (top 5 fighters) at 154 to even think about him. He needs to do some more work, win a few fights against credible opposition and then he will be in a position to fight for bigger purses. Check out the recent articles - Charles is next up fighting Jorge Garcia Perez, 32-4, 26 KOs. Does that sound like a big name fight to you?
If it makes you feel any better, I get called names for asking why Tank Davis never fights elite opponents. I also repeatedly question why Charles Conwell never seems to fight Top 10 guys at 154.
