Vargas best win happened when he was 22 a close controversial decision over Winky

Mexican David doesn’t yet have a win that comes close

I believe when Alvarez finally gets into the right with David

Alvarez wins fight 1. They’ll rematch with the younger man David winning fight 2

Charlo has a better resume than Benavidez in general, it’s amazing that somehow davjd fighting Andrade who wasn’t a 168 guy who doesn’t have any top 5/10 wins besides vanes a guy who also ducked Jermell Charlo and pulled out a fight 2wks before the fight is a good win. But Charlo who Andrade ran from at 154, who was undisputed and a p4p fighter is a bad win?
By your argument boots fighting Blair cobbs is better than fighting Teo

Andrade won the first two rounds and arguably the third until his undersized ass couldn’t take that power

You can’t discredit a guy to try and hype somebody up who won’t even get into the ring… also the don’t fight Mexicans thing came after the Chavez jr fight not at 168 Canelo first said it in 2016/17, didn’t they kidnap his brother in Mexico before that fight I believe. Ppl just dug that quote up years later to act like he ain’t wanna fight David.. in reality Callum was THE MAN, then it was Saunders to slick, then it was plant really got the American boxing style it wasn’t until after Canelo lost to Bivol that anybody even started mentioning David.. who himself really didn’t even step up until the plant/andrade fights in 2023.
I'm not defending benavidez, but it is silly to defend canelo by using benavidez, and you saying that canelo didn't want fight mexicans because his brother was kidnapped? Wtf, the guy is the biggest fraud boxing has ever seen. Shamelessly avoiding the must risky fighters, by the way the only reason he didn't fought any mexicans for almost 8 years, was Benavidez's not the kidnapping of his brother, his excuse and i quote "respected his nation and its top talents too much to deliver any setbacks to their careers"

what the **** has Yildirim accomplished? Berlanga? Munguia? theyve all accomplished one important thing: showing you in advance that they won't be competitive fights, and that's why you fought those dudes and avoided Benavidez

Bena path to Canelo is simple, beat Munguia better than Canelo did. Beat Plant better than Canelo did. Neither has happened. Canelo does not need to oblige Bena just because he is throwing a tantrum in the media begging for a MM payout.

You're not slick, stop moving the goal post.

Let's see why these guys earned a fight with Canelo, but Benavidez didn't. You gonna take up the challenge, or duck and run from it like your hero?

Indeed. Resumes at or maybe above the weight class are the ones that matter. Doesn't matter what you accomplished in lower weight classes because as you move up, you may slow down, your power may not carry up, or guys may be able to take the power better, etc. Jermell Charlo beating Jeison Rosario and Brian Castaño means fugh-all for his chances at beating Canelo, or Plant, or Benavidez, etc, at 168, and he found out when he tried that it was Kittens Only. You're not guaranteed to be a lion when you move up in weight, and if you're sized to be at the higher weight class, it's possible that your accomplishments at the lower weight classes just came because you were being a weight bully who is good at cutting weight.
