It doesn't mean anything, that fight was on ESPN, not PPV. There is no upend to ESPN fights, there is a flat fee and that is it. Arum might have given him some kind of a bonus, but not from PPV sales... Point being that Shakur didn't make $4.2 million for that fight...

Bro, there was an interview with Bud after his fight with Spence and he articulated the deal that PBC laid out and how he learned closing that deal that the real money(when the PPV does well) is in a lower guarantee but high PPV upend. He said he was shocked how much he could make because with Arum he was only making a guarantee with no PPV upend. Even though he was making a higher guarantee with Arum, he was not making PPV upend.

How do I know that Turki sweetens the deal?? Eddie or whomever the promoter is, still has to honor his guaranteed obligation to his fighters, the reason fights weren't being made is because no promoter wanted to pay the higher purses that fighters are demanding, so Turki ads the money that the promoter doesn't want to lose, because unless it's Ginger, the PPV sales aren't gonna up the revenue to fulfill the obligation without the Promoter losing his shirt. Turki doesn't care about losing money, we know he isn't making money on PPV, his agenda isn't to make money, the agenda is to sports wash and promote tourism in SA, which will lead to further revenue for SA.

Haney made good money off of Kambo's Star power in OZ. Why do you think the fights were in OZ? Kambo had a huge following down there(not anymore). Kambo made way more money than Haney, because he generated the money down there, kind of like Ginger here in the states. Everyone gets paid when they fight Ginger...

He turned down a 5 fight $15 million deal because for one: 5 fights is too many to get tied down to, especially when Eddie promised Shakur that he'd make him a PPV Star... Two: Eddie promised Shakur that he'd get him fights on Turki's cards.. And three: the deal was only for 3 fights, not 5. Truth be told, Shakur is not all that pleased with Eddie because he hasn't landed the big money fight that Shakur thought he'd be getting..

3 years ago bivol made 2.5 mil it seems for turdo but the promoters could only manage to sc **** together 1.5 mil or 2 mil for the big unification fight undisputed fight between beter and bivol and it took turki to stump up the extra 500k to make it happen lol
