Current face of boxing Canelo fights every May and September, so he has set dates and I don't think anyone from the current crop can do such minimal obligation. Current crop feels they're giving you a favor when they fight as if you owe them something.
To be fair some of them genuinely want to be active, but this is boxing where fights are not easy to make either the potential opponent want too much money, fears losing, lack of dates, etc.
But many of them would just rather sit around, remain inactive despite having plenty of available fights for them.

How many times did the DAZN broadcast mention that canelo is the face boxing last weekend? The question asks if canelo is the face of boxing doesnt that mean boxing is in a bad state? I would say so since canelo refuses to take tough fights. Dazn can falsely promote this notion but its false and a lie by a script reading broadasting team.

That's why you need to answer the question in this thread brother.

Boxing has fallen so far in culture popularity and has a negative stigma after Mayweather's disgraceful era and Canelo's is also lousy because he's basically a protected WWF pretender. The public doesn't trust boxing or respect it anymore. Just a small niche of a dwindling hardcore base. I can't imagine how one big star can emerge from the wreckage and save the sport. If one does emerge, he will be preserved and protected and milked for greed, like Floyd and Canelo and the cycle will repeat. The writing is on the wall, boxing probably will never rise again, unless something miraculous happens.

The last true face hero of boxing was Manny Pacquiao but the crooked establishment scrooed him over in favor of the black American fraud Mayweather. Pacquaio was the real star, the electric thriller who came to excite fans and give them their money's worth. Floyd came to steal from the public and give you boring sparring sessions against handpicked "path of least resistance" opposition for a decade. This era of Floyd is what killed the sport and lost the trust of the public. The establishment didn't take advantage of the mighty marvel miracle that Pacquiao was.

Lol the next face of boxing has to be somebody with the ability to sell a LOT of tickets/PPV's and that absolutely does NOT include the likes of Shakur Stevenson or Boots Ennis. Great fighters though!

I PREDICT that British Pakistani boxer Adam Azim will be ONE of the faces of the sport in the future. He's just 23yo and recently stopped both O'Hara Davies & Sergey Lipinets so has the potential to make it to the top in addition to a fan friendly style and high KO ratio. He's expected to fight Regis Prograis this summer in what should be his breakthrough fight and if he succeeds, I fully expect him to inherit Khan's large fan base who was a big ticket seller and PPV draw in his prime.

Turki will also love him and show him favouritism just because of his religion (e.g. Hamzah Sheeraz).
