I mean this is easy to fix! It is not like when Sven Ottke had his German ref that would constantly do crazy shiat to help Otke.

The auto reply should have been working, it should have been determined Tank broke the rules and was DQ'ed... The ref may have been confused, ok... But the rules protect everybody when and only when they are followed.
Why did he start the count and then stop? The rules are clear. Willis knows the rules and didn't apply them. He deserves a suspension.

Remember that the referee is the key and most central figure in a prizefight. Obviously, in his judgement; He felt that Tank didn't take the knee on purpose or out of desperate display of gamesmanship.

in order to avoid punishment or attempting to buy himself some extra time to recover. Which was probably the reason why he gave Davis only a stern warning rather penalizing him.

One must understand that the referee is granted very broad authority and discretion when he is enforcing the rules inside of that boxing ring. He could have done one of five things.

Either give Davis a standing eight count, deduct a point, disqualify Tank. Rule it a TKO because Gervonta turned his back away from his opponent Lamont Roach. Which typically reflects a sign that a fighter is quitting or checking out.

However, he can also issue a very stern warning as he did. The bottom line is; Whatever call a referee decides to make while enforcing the rules inside of that squared circle stands.
It was probably a lot more simple than that as they just proved they have no integrity, the route they more than likely went down was PBC and the Commission had a Golden handshake with somebody saying we will take care of it.

I agree. It was more of a plausible explanation rather than a rational one. Had Lamont Roach either won the 9th round; Or even if that 9th round was ruled a Draw. Then Lamont Roach would have won the fight.

I've never seen anything like this before. How can the commission admit they were wrong and that said fighter should have been awarded a knockdown but yet they are still not going to overturn the original verdict?

That's very strange to me. I don't understand that. Let's just hope and pray that Tank would indeed agree to a rematch. By running this one back with Lamont.

However, if Davis doesn't. Then Roach just may have no other choice but to seek out a legal remedy in order to make this thing right. I strongly believe that this matter should be settled inside of a boxing ring and not a court.

He made a mistake... I am not opposed to a suspension. I just believe that a simple rule makes everything right and it has nothing to do with the ref at this point: Tank should get a DQ the commission should apply the fix.

The fact that googly eyed mofo started the count is very telling of what should of been
Tank imo was losing the fight outright and making the knockdown or kneel down just more so

Other side of the street boxers pretty much have to KO the Pbc "A-side" just to get the W. And if the "B-side's" losing, just take a tank timeout.
