Not long ago the popular opinion on a match
up between Shakur and Tank seemed to significantly favor Tank. This opinion seemed to be held by legit boxing fans, many of whom feel/felt that Tank has the power and resources to catch Shakur.
It now looks like the consensus has changed a bit... At least on this site. How so? Is one to believe that based on the blast two fights, one for each fighter really demonstrated much of anything?
Let me briefly explain... Tank has shown himself vulnerable to pressure before. Some of us believe Cruz beat him, regardless the fight was close. Roach may have been underestimated, he certainly was by myself, but his success was his ability to keep pressure on Tank. Shakur is not a guy who applies pressure as a primary fighting strategy. In fact, Shakur's ability to KO his last opponent matters little. Unless someone thinks he will KO tank.
I am wondering what changed? Tank has had gifts given before with decisions, he has shown a reliance on his power and ability to wreck his opponents before... Ditto for Shakur who certainly can come in for the kill when out-boxing his opponent(s).
I do not wonder why each of you has an opinion about who wins this fight... I wonder why some of you feel like the last fight(s) told us much of anything about this match up. I will share my opinion later...
