come on now.. taking a knee is taking a knee... doesnt matter if he turned his back or not. roach took a knee in the 11th round, the same way as tank did. only difference is, roach didnt turn around and walked to his corner, but why does that matter? cotto vs marg 1, cotto took a knee (ref ruled it as a KD), he didnt turn his back either...........

Wait, are you refering to the point when the two tangled up in the clinch and Tank leaned on him forcing him to the ground? If so, then c'mon man, that was clearly no a knee, that was being pushed in the clinch. Its bias and specious arguments like these which ruin discord and any actual communication from taking place. Simply having your knee hit the canvas is not taking a knee, it was ruled a push ergo thats what it was.

We can be better than this in the name of discourse, its not about having your side win and twisting facts to fit your point, its about finding the correct answer. This seems to be a problem for a lot of online discussion in our world today though.

If there was a separate incident where his knee hit, I apologize, but I don't recall that.

I think he's referring to about 1:20 into the round. Roach leans in and Tank clinches from the top down and pushes Roach down to a knee. It was ruled a push, so it was not him taking a knee. It was acknowledged by the ref as a push.

They should overturn the decision and award roach the belts and victory and it’s the way these prima Donna fighters will learn there lesson that they cannot do what they want to do when it suits them…..although the punch was not a heavy punch he could well have been affected by it which is why he took a knee ….its a knockdown period

So if the judges scored the round 10-9 to Davis, they thought he won the round irrespective of the KD. If that KD is made official what does the round score become - if Davis otherwise winning the round is accepted?
