The ref should have DQd him for doing that. One can’t take a knee and then walk back to their corner like that the unless ref calls a timeout.
Why did Tank take a knee?

Whether grease or not I still think he was being honest. I just still think he didn’t get how soft he came off with that excuse.Comment

There is absolutely no reason to believe he was being honest. I think he made up a lie on the spot and, not being very smart, that was the best he could come up with.Comment

if he had grease in his eye causing so much issues would he not need a rinse out to clear it???? did they even wipe his eyes at the corner??Comment

They dont do shampoos in the corner lol, he wouldnt know untill its started to happen with the sweat running from his head, it was a dumb thing to do but Tank is not the brightest tool in the shed, I dont know why people doubt what he is saying you can see the sequence clearly, he was not hit or hurt or anything like that, took the knee ran to the corner and wiped his face with a towel, just how he would in sparing.Comment

The only thing that I could think of was to buy some time because Lamont was putting it on his ass. We've all seen how many punches he had thrown and energetic he had become; After the action resumed in round 9. Which was perhaps his best round.Comment

People just want to put as much sht on Tank as possible so he was hurt wobbled about to be stopped so he thought I, ll say my hair grease got in my eye and was blurring my sight, too stu-pid not to be true.Comment

He didnt look hurt in anyway from a jab it just didnt look like a punch to my eyes and the way he bounced up and ran to corner was all indicative of not being hurt and wiping his face, its the same deal that happens in sparing where anything say a speck of dirt got in your eye you would wave it off and head for the towel, Ive actually seen two guys do this in sparing.

Well they have eyes and can slow it down to look really close etc, and on top of that most dont have any actual boxing experience and that leads to all sorts of scenaros that just dont make sense if you have boxed but fans will be fans.Comment
