He beat the count, but referee Steve Gray called a halt to the action.... And it was a quick count. Bakole didn't argue. We can understand why... He can now get back to his vacation. Even extend it...Comment

He is a bit. He was stopped by Hunter and wanted to quit.
He was lucky to get a decision over Kuzmin. The cards were horrible.
He had a whole lot of hype over beating a 50 year old Takam and Jared Anderson, who is completely unproven at any good level.
He's a handful and could be dangerous and certainly would've been better vs Parker with a camp, but I'd still pick plenty of heavyweights to beat him, including Parker.
Just like when I told this forum Zhang isn't that good when they were all hyping him up and he'd get found out. Same time I predicted Kabayel would beat Makhmudov because I knew he was a big doofus that would fold under pressure. Same as I thought about Hrgovic and said it here.
Bakole belongs with those names. He's got nothing for the real top fighters, camp or no camp.Last edited by deathofaclown; 02-22-2025, 11:50 PM.Comment

Lets be honest.....Bakole was training for another fight and being a last minute replacement works both ways. Second, Parker spent his entire camp training for a smaller much different fighter and he had no fight plan for Bakole...a guy that most trainers and commentators said would walk right through Parker.
If you exclude the riyadh season boxing trolls, nobody expected Parker to knock Bakole out. I certainly didn't!Comment

Can't believe most of my favorites won on this card. Bivol played the tightest most disciplined chess game ever,
Kabayel steps up to the plate with one of his best performances, Smith did a number on Buatsi... not an easy foe
to go up against. An all around entertaining card.Comment

Actually read he got 500000 pounds. That is by far the biggest payday & he even has a built in excuse to why he lost so decisively. He dropped in the rankings but got paid handsomely. Much like when Povetkin failed his PED test & Johan Duhaupas got a call on his vacation boat to come be a replacement opponent to save the card. He got 500000 euro on a days notice & haf to borrow gear to fight. He got KO’d in 6 but 500000 euro was too good to pass up & he went right back on vacation with his wife.
