What are you talking about? Parker was fighting smart - getting in and out, picking his shots perfectly and landing clean. His plan was to matador Bakole and drag it out to the later rounds, but he landed so easily on Bakole he capitalised on it in the second.
He did everything right and walked away from an easy nights work with an even better resume.Comment

Actually read he got 500000 pounds. That is by far the biggest payday & he even has a built in excuse to why he lost so decisively. He dropped in the rankings but got paid handsomely. Much like when Povetkin failed his PED test & Johan Duhaupas got a call on his vacation boat to come be a replacement opponent to save the card. He got 500000 euro on a days notice & haf to borrow gear to fight. He got KO’d in 6 but 500000 euro was too good to pass up & he went right back on vacation with his wife.Comment

to me his feet looked slow which is quite wild to say when he was fighting someone who was 310 lbs. His nose was busted up and he was getting touched up to the body. I also think he doesn't take punches as well as he used to.
I've always had doubts about Parker's gas tank, but especially when he's this heavy and this easy to hit. Fair play, it gives him a bit more power.Comment

he's underperformed for his talent. When he was a prospect he had huge potential but has never really put it all together. Still gases after round 5 in most of his fights - which has been evident since the Takam fight. Still goes back in straight lines and is susceptible to a jab from bigger fighters. These things should have been fixed years ago IMO. Instead he's surrounded by con artists like that strength and conditioning coach who sounds like a walking bodybuilding forum encyclopaedia circa 2006 - he takes a piss and bro-science comes out and Parker and his team just lap it up. Should have just got a proper professional coach years ago but he listens to Tyson Fury too much.
He is what he is now. Immensely talented - probably one of the most naturally gifted boxers in the division - with poor conditioning and poor coaching. Should have been the type of guy to challenge Usyk but in this shape Usyk would dance circles round him.

This fight proved nothing. Even though i've never rated Bakole and think Parker would beat him anyway, Bakole took this fight at two days notice, has spent that time travelling, wasn't in camp for another fight so was unfit and I gave him 3 rounds max tonight so it was no surprise but a nothing fight that probably shouldn't have happened.Comment

I hope Bakole got a good money for taking the fight on that short notice. he was completely out of shape.Comment

Anyone that knows top tier boxing fitness and what is required to make it to the top knew what would be the outcome of this fight. I actually said a few days ago I would be shocked if Bakole had 6 rounds in him at best. We have fight camps for a reason, I can only come to the conclusion that the money was just to good to turn down. I hope Bakole and his team learned a valuable lesson tonight and don't do this again. Did they not think Joseph Parker is a finely tuned professional? Did they think he was a cab driver / part time boxer.Comment
