Hurd beat him cleanly with a last round knockdown and Castano whooped his ass and got handed a draw. Total robbery.

Its arguable and that is why he has never been clearly and unanimously bested. All of his losses or draws could be close wins really.

No, they couldn't. The Paul Williams fight could've gone either way (I scored it for Lara) and you could argue the Canelo fight (I scored it for Canelo but it was close), but Castano easily won 8 rounds and got straight up screwed. And there was no controversy with the Hurd fight either. Lara would've had an argument but then he got dropped at the end of round 12 and that made it clear.

He beat Williams very clearly, that is one of the clearest robberies in the history of boxing. The judges were suspended for a reason.

The Paul Willaims fight should have been very wide for Lara, straight robbery. What do you have against boxings most avoided fighter?

I have nothing against Lara, and I had genuinely forgotten about the judges getting suspended for the Williams fight. You're right in that it wasn't close, I misspoke.

All I'm saying is that the Castano draw was a clear loss, the Hurd loss was a clear loss, and his competition level since then has been absolutely awful. He has no business with a middleweight belt, he has not even faced a single quality middleweight.

I would watch Lara vs Adames or Lara vs Janibek and I'd root for Lara in both of those fights. I just don't think he'd be competitive. He took a very long time to dispose of a completely washed and outsized Danny Garcia in his last fight. Neither guy came out of that one looking like they belonged in the ring with any legitimate middleweight contenders. Lara is about to turn 42 years old and his last quality win took place in 2017. I really don't think anyone is scared of him at all anymore.

Alright lets forget about past fights for now, As for Danny? Lara's style is a take what you give him and use it to his advantage which is why the Angulo fight was such a burner. Danny wouldn't open up was extremely gunshy and yes I think Lara being the naturally bigger man should have stepped on the gas. Lara still won every rd, scored a kd, and got a corner stoppage. What is holding up a Lara/Janibek fight? Lara, Adames, and Janibek currently are fighting pretty poor opposition when they should be fighting each other.

I agree the belt holders should all fight each other. I still thought Lara looked incredibly sluggish in the Garcia fight compared to how he looked two years prior against O'Sullivan (who also sucks, but at least is a natural middleweight). When you're on the wrong side of 40 you age in dog years. I have absolutely zero reason to believe Lara will look any better in his next fight, after his 42nd birthday, against a legitimate middleweight contender.

This is laughable at best. Let's see. Lara and Adames are stablemates and happen to have the same coach, oh, and they are also good friends from what I've heard. Yeah, does not make for a quick match up, does it? Stop spewing nonsense around. Carlos would have no issue getting in the ring with him otherwise.

Adames may not be Golovkin/Janibek but he's still a very good fighter and world champion for a reason. As for Sheeraz, he looked like a completely different fighter to the one who dominated Ammo and was made to look ordinary. Hopefully he can learn from this experience and come back stronger because I still believe he has the potential to win a world title.

However, 2 of the judges scorecards were a disgrace and had clearly been filled out BEFORE the fight!
