Great fight on PAPER although my only concern is that Bakole last fought in August and has obviously had ZERO training camp. I know he had a title eliminator lined up in May but I assume he must be in decent fighting shape otherwise Turki and more importantly his promoter (Shalom) wouldn't allow him to fight.

    Time will tell.

No camp, in the Congo living that life, probably pushing 300lbs,
      he's got 3 or 4 good rounds i him.
I had Dubois, i now have Parker.

Stylistically this is a similar fight to Daniel Dubois for Joseph Parker 'Only difference being? Bakole does almost everything at a slower speed, and his movement is terrible. So once again, I would not be surprised if Parker wins over the distance'.

I was originally backing Parker to beat Dubois over the distance 'With the crucial factor being. That the fight between Parker and Dubois needed to go past the middle rounds, for Dubois's game to start to decrease dramatically. Due to him as a fighter being a front runner, against genuine top level Heavyweight fighters who? Are actually in condition with an all round game'.

I am honestly expecting a similar challenge for Joseph Parker vs Martin Bakole 'Parker needs to just try and establish his jab in the opening rounds, and manage the distance very well. Bakole may win the opening rounds, purely on aggression but? He may not be inflicting any serious amount of damage upon Joseph Parker, if he is making the punches only partial land'.

Note: My concerns for Martin Bakole are his overall conditioning 'His endurance levels appeared to be terrible vs Micheal Hunter. And that was when Bakole was weighing in at 256 pounds. Recently Bakole has been weighing in at 284 pounds'.

The numbers on the scale, and a fighters weight 'Are not always a 100% accurate indication of their overall conditioning. But? When you can clearly see that the extra mass which Bakole has gained, is not solid functional mass. Then theoretically Martin Bakole is just a heavier fighter these days, who is maybe a tad stronger than the version of himself in his earlier career'.

To conclude: The shock unfortunate pull out of Daniel Dubois from this fight 'In my opinion, now? May increase the likely-hood of Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois II next. Because Dubois may want to get another title defense in by the summer, which aligns with Anthony Joshua's projected comeback date'.

If such a situation occurs 'I think Joseph Parker regardless of what happens on the 22nd February 2024. He should be next in line to fight for the IBF World Heavyweight title'.

This fight between Martin Bakole and Joseph Parker really is unnecessary for Parker 'But not for Martin Bakole'.

Joseph Parker does not really need to beat another high ranking fighter to fight in another World title fight 'Parker was already at that level. So Parker and his team do deserves big credit for taking this fight. But it is a fight which I believe, they should win' etc.

I have Parker winning this. Simply more skilled and probably in better shape. Martin had to take the opportunity, can't blame him for going for it.

That’s what I’m afraid of but Bakole’s got KO power and Parker’s been down a few times before including in his last fight against Wilder.

One things for sure, it’ll be a FIRECRACKER for as long as it lasts.

I respectfully disagree about the almost everything slower comment. Many of Bakole's shots come fast and from blind angles. In his past few fights, I have been impressed with his increase in speed.
I agree with the weight thing being a concern. I would make the point that guys like Hopkins and Duran Stayed in shape and that could in part nullify the no training camp thing, but 300 pounds is pretty dang big.

Gonna make one correction here. Parker is the WBO interim champ, and that's the next due title defense anyways for Usyk. He'll get upgraded to full champ if Usyk doesn't want that fight. So he definitely deserves full credit for taking on the smoke that he for sure doesn't need, and from Dubois' top contender to boot.
