So do you think it’s good from a marketing standpoint to use racial animus and bigotry as a tool to promote fights?

Can’t you see that the major advertisers and sponsorships would run and duck for cover from this foolish nonsense? For fear of declining sales and revenue.

This type of shit Teo is pulling is not only hurting his brand but also his image and reputation too. Nothing good could ever come from this bullshit.

Major sponsors have abandoned boxing decades ago in the United States. Fighters have done way worse than this, Floyd went to the state pen for domestic violence.

Doing what Teo did doesn't hurt anybody but himself as it makes him look like the dumbest guy in the room where he is the only person in the room because nobody wants to be around him.

To be clear, I was not defending Teo. My post was in response to the guy above who argued that it was racist for black fighters to wear sombreros (and similar). I do believe the entire world is obsessed with race and racism to the point that they cannot stomach the most minor criticism of any group. I do believe that racism will exist all the way up till the last two people on the planet are left, so I have no expectation that anything that anyone does or tries to impose will change the way people feel about each other. Human beings are hardwired to hate the differences in others.

Ha that was a Star Trek episode the Last Battle and two guys with opposite color patterns fought each other to the death on their planets surface.

He'll probably win his fight in Alcatraz, but lose in October to Boots and as well as to the loser of Ryan-Haney. After that he'll more than likely be finished fighting the big names....

I'm thinking that it will only take one significant loss to shatter Lopez's bitch ass ego and make him quit the sport altogether.

Well, I believe he's definitely losing to Boots, but he's gotta honor the contract of fighting the loser of Ryan-Devin. I agree that losing to Boots will definitely shatter his ego and he will more than likely show up for the 3rd fight just to collect the check....
