Can Bud actually prove he deserves Canelo?

Go, fight and beat somebody like Surace, Iglesias, Pacheco, Shishkin, Mbilli, Plant..andybody ranked at 168.

    Where is the problem?

If Crawford is the real deal for Canelo, not only for money grab, than I believe he should beat somebody ranked at 168.

Did Yildrim or William Scull prove it?

      David Benavidez did.

      Where did that get him?

Ya know Jake... My aunt used to say "there are a million reasons for taking the short way... For taking the easy money, for doing what benefits you and causes harm to another... But usually only one reason to do the right thing..." There are almost infinite reasons for a fighter NOT To fight: "Hey do I need to get punched in the face for less money than fighting another guy?" Or, Like Satanic Bob Arum says, marination is king! I will gladly fight my arch rival when we are 53!" Or how about "Humph! that naturally talented young man who is a rising star does not deserve to be in the ring with me!" Meanwhile? the fans wait, fighters waste their careers because they may not get the perfect fight... I mean King destroyed fighters against their will! Arum just has to tell them not to fight, it is like hypnosis!

My point being: Do we really need a reason for these guys not to fight!!? Ridiculous! This would be a very interesting bout. Personally I do not care if the ginger is scared of Messican monsters, or what Terrence thinks, or what people think about 168 which really is a catch weight anyway? I could be wrong on this... Correct me if I am. Get your priorities straight sir!

It is a mismatch. So because 160 Canelo fought Khan, you want 168 Canelo to fight another welterweight?

Floyd was levels above Crawford. How many fights at 160 did he have? Not to even mention 168..

At the end of the day anyone who has achieved undisputed in 2 weight classes and can boast being a 4 division champion should be able to jump the queue if the right money is put forward as is what's happened here. Crawford is due a big money fight considering what he's done in his career so its more logical to do it now rather than later where he'll be 38+ years of age.

no, im just letting you know that khan didnt do anything to deserve it so why you asking TC to work for it??? and if it's a mismatch then why you asking TC to work for it?

He's a four division world titlist, a three division lineal world champion, and a two division undisputed champion. He has 14 wins against fighters ranked in the top 10 by the TBRB at the time of the fight, 11 wins against fighters that won a major world title at some point in their careers, and 19 wins with major world title at stake all without a single loss.

Should Canelo fight Benavidez or the Beterbiev/Bivol winner? Or Mbilli or Iglesys? Yes. But he ain't gonna. So I'd rather see Crawford get this fight than someone like Berlanga, Scull, Surace, or the other Charlo.
