seems like a good business decision to kick off the 4 fight contract with a clear win.

The Jermall that controlled Derevyenchenko with consummate ease would've been a good shout - but this is an inactive, alcoholic with mental health Charlo... absolutely dreadful candidate! As for Surace... people forget he was getting absolutely pieced up and dropped by Munguia before the knockout, which only came because Munguia has such a terrible defence. Both are weak choices. Canelo should be fighting Scull, who is undefeated and IBF champ as that sets up the Bud fight for undisputed.

Scull completely robbed shishkin. Hes useless. All 3 are terrible so I'm sure he will fight them all

This is where the face of boxing is now? Had 4 weak fights and now he's contemplating between the almighty Surace or Jermall? Then a fall fight with a 147/154lber?

Oh yeah, fully agree, I understand he might want a low risk fight before Bud but all 3 of those are awful, especially as the fight is being hosted in Saudi. Canelo hasn't even fought yet and is already tainting Turki's reputation for putting on great fights! why not fight Derevyenchenko - he already ducked him at 160lbs when Sergey was mandatory for the IBF title. Fight him now! Isn't that how Canelo likes them when they're the wrong side of 30...

You aren't wrong, but there are folks here who believe that the 154lber has physical advantages over the face of boxing and will swear that the 154lber will beat the face of boxing and possibly KO him as well.

Fighters only take hard fights when they have to. canelo doesn`t have to do sh.it. If Turki will want to make him fight Benavidez, Bivol rematch or Beterbiev, canelo will just walk away and retire.

People must stop dreaming Canelo -Benavidez at 175. It will never happen.

Hard to argue with anything you've stated in this post. I find your first two sentences to be 100% accurate and although you make a good point with your third sentence, the 4 fight deal does stipulate Bivol as one of the names for the 3rd fight.

As for your last sentence, I must admit that I am hopeful but am willing to agree that you are more than likely correct...

If Canelo won’t fight Benny then it makes no fughin sense whatsoever to mention Artur Beterbiev
He already ran from the rematch with Bivol , right ?
Why backtrack as he’s getting older
                      Please make it make sense
What does Benny brings to the table? Beterbiev is the one with all the belts, if it aint for all the belts at 175 then why will canelo put him self at disadvantage on a weight class he clearly does not belong?
and about the rematch with bivol is debatable, bivol is already on record saying he turned down canelos offer because he wanted more money for the rematch, he is actually right for turning down such offer, but in the end it was him who turned down the fight ..
