I'll still tip my hat. Benavidez is big. I can see Canelo avoiding Benavidez forever, like Mayweather did Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, and Sergio Martinez.

There are quite a few legends who avoided at least one dangerous opponent in their career.

There was only a very small window for the Marqarito fight. Canelo has been ducking Benavidez for years. Not comparable.

He is fighting Scull next and you think Turki is not going to give him any gimme fights? lmao.
Weren’t you bitching that he was going to fight Jake Paul and Jermall Charlo and Surace?

At least now he is fighting William Scull to reunite all the belts. Which will be important when he fights the winner of Bivol/Beterbiev II vs Benavidez. Since that person will also have all the belts, at 175 lbs.

Why are you pretending he's going to fight for undisputed at 175? What reality do you actually live in? That is pure fantasy.

Scull is just as trash as those other fights. A no name opponent who has literally zero chance to win.

Scull is a world title fight. It’s not like Canelo is fighting T.J. Doheny or something.

A world title fight vs a no name bum that robbed shiskin for the belt. He only threw 350 punches, over 12 rounds and landed 80. This will be a horrific fight.

It unifies all the 168-lb belts again so it’s not that bad and it’s necessary.

                Crawford is next in September.

At least Doheny earned the world title he won in his career. Scull lost to Shishkin and got a gift decision.

Inoue fought Doheny when he was past his world title days and didn’t deserve a shot. Scull for better or worse currently has the title.

Doheny was ranked #7 by The Ring and had fallen out of the TBRB top 10 literally 3 days before the fight (he was #10 and another fighter won a fight and bumped him out). And he's getting a featherweight title shot against Nick Ball next. I would have preferred Inoue face Akhmadaliev, but at least Doheny was a credible world level guy with some world level wins on his resume.

The only time Scull faced a world level opponent he got a hometown gift decision. He doesn't have a single credible opponent on his resume besides Shishkin and Shishkin got robbed.
