Its a fight and the better man won on the night but to say because one had more professional fights a weight below means he would definately win is ridiculous

Morrell could have bombed Benavidez out and youd probably be singing a different tune right now
However, it does matter. Let's just take a good look at David Morrell's resume' in the pro ranks. How many fights does he have on his professional record.

Moreover, mention some of the most notable names he has fought at the professional level? That's my point. David Benavidez was the best fighter that David Morrell has ever faced inside of a boxing ring.

He lost largely because he was too green and lacked the both championship experience and skill of a David Benavidez. This is not rocket science.

Just judging by their performances; It doesn't take a brain surgeon to notice that Morrell hadn't developed enough professionally in order to defeat Benny.

I am the idiot? No the only idiot here is you. You are the one who picked Morrell to win. I didn’t. Which only goes to show that YDSAB.

I can see that you want a pissing match with me. Whether Morrell was the best fighter that Benny has ever faced or not?

Yes,, perhaps he was. However, what I will say for sure is that he was his toughest and strongest opponent he has ever faced inside of a professional boxing ring before.

So there you’ve got your answer. Morrell was just an overhyped and over night sensation with lots of ability but with no skill. Besides, it’s all irrelevant now.

He still lost. He still got his ass whupped and that is a fact that will not change. No matter how many straw man arguments you pull out your ass.

I agree. I think his speed, with his awkwardness would give Canelo trouble. Not to mention, he really directs his shots where he sees an opening in the guard, even if that means throwing the same punch multiple times because why not? It would be a good fight for sure, but I'm not sure he would stop Canelo, but simply out work him similar to what Bivol did.

he exposed canelo as a coward and fraud. anyone left on the canelo bandwagon is 100 percent cu-ckified and has no morals.

My apologies Bro; You were right and I was wrong. After watching the replay; Morrell performed a lot better and the fight was a lot closer than I had originally thought.

Morrell more than held his own against Benavidez. He even rocked him on several occasions including with the knockdown. I believe the two should run it back. Not because it was controversial.

The right man won but I would like to see the two run it back because the fight was so close. My own unofficial scorecard minus the point deduction was114-113 for David Benavidez.

Even though I thought Benny won the fight; It was far from a dominating performance or shut out. It was a good hotly contested, highly entertaining and crowd-pleasing fight that was close.

Benny got hit and ate more clean punches in this fight than at any time in his entire professional career. Which is the reason why I believe the fight warrants a rematch.
