Beterbiev brings terrifying power & respectable boxing skills but I don't think he is going to enjoy fighting Benavidez at all. Benavidez he one bad MoFo.
Spot on! I felt that Beterbiev looked just awful in his last outing against Dmitry Bivol. He looked both old and slow. His performance was very reminiscent of that of Marvin Hagler's performance against Sugar Ray Leonard.

No actually, his performance was far worse than Hagler's. He never cut off the ring and had a very low punch volume. Overall, he was just a split second slower and a step behind Bivol all night.

Who threw and landed the cleaner and the more accurate punches for the entire fight. The Beterbiev who fought Dmitry was not the same Beterbiev that I was accustomed to seeing. I thought he was badly outclassed in that fight.

Much better to have the TV sound off instead of hearing cheerleaders whatever happened to Howard Cosell style of commentating "Down goes Frazier"

Or maybe was just Bivol the best fighter Beterbiev ever fouught. That was why Artur looked worse rhan in previous fights.

Yes, it’s possibly true that his uneven performance was probably due to Bivol being the best he has ever fought.

Then again it could have been due to subtle signs of decline and aging. After all, the man is 40 years old you know.

I’ve been a huge fan of Benavidez way back when he beat up Porky and Gavril! He’s a straight throwback type of fighter, wants all the smoke!!! I still hope Beterbiev wins the rematch so David can become undisputed and get Canelo to stop making excuses and and man up! From what I heard, Benavidez got Bivols number in sparring sessions and he might just catch Beterbiev at the right time with his age. I still think Benavidez and Wilder in a fantasy fight at cruiserweight would do crazy numbers if Turki is involved!!!

Which was one of the reasons why I picked Benavidez to win this fight. It wasn't a hard pick to make. Benavidez has faced the much stiffer opposition in his professional career than David Morrell has.

While I commend Morrell for both his effort, championship heart and chin; He was yet way out of his league.
Didnt Morrell make Benavidez do the stanky leg for a second with a jab?

In sparring people do realise that Bivol was probably working on things like letting Benavidez inside to work on his own defence ect

Bivol wpuld dominate Benavidez all night long...Bivol would be the one with power in there not Benavidex.

Benavidez hype is crazy. It reminds me on Canelo hype before he fought Bivol.

Yes,I did but did Benny also punched him with like ten consecutive unblocked left uppercuts and looping right hands through Morrell's high guard; Which got through anyhow? Which is also the reason why I said that David Morrell needs more experience and development. With only twelve professional fights. It's not going to get the job done.

As a matter of fact, I project in just a few years; That he is going to inevitably surpass Benny in the P4P list and as the more accomplished boxer of the two. It's not so much that the kid has a tremendous championship heart but also he has all the makings and tools in order to achieve it.

This fight is only going to make him better and tougher. It was great learning experience for him. However, this is Benny's time now and hands down he was easily the more skilled and fundamentally sound of the two; Due to his professional and championship experience.

Also, coupled with his overall level of opposition in the professional ranks. I just don't know what boxing fans saw in David Morrel into believing that he was ready or could ever whup David Benavidez at this present time?

It was a 50/50 fight because Morrell had so much experience amateur BOXING

Its a fight and the better man won on the night but to say because one had more professional fights a weight below means he would definately win is ridiculous

Morrell could have bombed Benavidez out and youd probably be singing a different tune right now
