Let’s not grant anybody any imaginary victories.

Instead, let’s actually get the fight. Benavidez vs the winner of Beterbiev-Bivol II would be great for the sport.

It would be a fight to make just because of Benavidez rating as of now... Now Benavidez didn't bring the Power to LHW as we could see in both Gvozdyk and Morrell fights... So in the best option for him he would be outboxed by the Boxer and in the least option he would be out-stalked by the stalker ... No real way for a win in both options unless the "It's Boxing, anything can happen..." scenario .... Don't get me wrong here...I like David and what he did in his career to overcome his flaws... But let's get real here... Not a chance vs the 2 top dogs...

Do you think Benavidez won`t fight Beterbiev for Turki money, if Beterbiev beats Bivol again?

It would be ****** move for Benavidez. If Bivol beats Beterbiev ( I don`t believe he will, but maybe he does), these two could go to trilogy.

Bivol knows where he needs to make a few minor adjustments. Nobody has a crystal ball but I don't see where Beterbiev can improve, at 40 his style and pace is what it is. I'm expecting Bivol to win by decision making a trilogy most likely, if for no other reason than for the $$$.

More to your concerns, Benavidez might eventually get a chance to fight the winner, and I'm sure he'll take it, but I guarantee it won't be in 2025.

Morrell did the same mistake Bivol did trying to fight the other guy's fight.... Benavidez looked good, no doubt... Sadly he's not on par with the 2 Kings of the division... Notice how he said after the fight that he might go CW if he doesn't get the winner of Feb 22 ... Two things here: 1- He won't fight Beterbiev and 2- He would lose to both of them by a huge margin if not being annihilated ...

Congratulation's to David Benavidez, but? I am wondering why certain folk in the boxing community and media are heralding this win of Benavidez as some sort of coronation? In my perspective, David Benavidez has now fought two fights at 175 pounds, he has two wins, zero by stoppage or knockout'.

Canelo Alvarez still beats this version of Benavidez definitively at 168 pounds, goodness 'Benavidez was out of condition at 175 pounds, he will surely be there for the taking if he ever decides to complete within the 168 pound division again'.

Like I stated awhile back in regards to David Benavidez, he is for sure a World level fighter 'But I am yet still to witness any Elite level skills. It is clear now that he is competing in the 175 divisions, his opponent's are no longer wilting under the bombardment of his pressure and offensive power like they were in the 168 pound division. Benavidez has beaten two solid fighters, with his aggression and pressuring fighting skills. None of the fighters he has fought thus-far have appeared skill for skill to be miles apart from Benavidez'.

Canelo Alvarez in comparison, a fighter who I have never regarded as a monster puncher 'Still has knockout wins at 175 pounds, against superior fighters than Oleksandr Gvozdyk and David Morrell Junior. The version of Sergey Kovalev, who Alvarez fought? Is A superior fighter than Gvozdyk and Morrel Junior'.

Note: Yes, and I know? Alvarez forced Kovalev into a very condense training camp i.e Sergey Kovalev only had approximately 6 weeks of full training and preparation for his fight against Canelo Alvarez. But Kovalev was already in fight condition, as he had recently fought only just on th 24 August 2019. Canelo Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev was staged on 2nd November 2019. So as you can imagine? It was a very condense training camp for Sergey Kovalev. As he would of firstly eased back on his training after his WBO title defense on the 24 August, then at some point jumped back into high intensity preparation for Canelo Alvarez. That has been a tactic which Canelo Alvarez has used a few times on his opponent's, and I have always personally thought? It was completely unnecessary. But regardless, fighters should always be close to fighting conditioning and ready to take opportunities in the game.

Back onto David Benavidez vs David Morrell Junior, who was the challenger here? It was a sold win, but nothing more than that for Benavidez. Morrell Junior at top level has achieve nothing much in the professional ranks, infact? Oleksandr Gvozdyk I would most likely rate that win higher than David Morrell Junior.

To conclude: If David Benavidez really desires to fight Canelo Alvarez 'Then he needs to push for that fight at 175 pounds. If he makes that fight at 168 pounds, it will be a similar fight dynamic to when Chad Dawson fought Andre Ward at 168 pounds. Chad Dawson after beating Bernard Hopkins in their rematch. Got carried away in the moment and called out Andre Ward for a fight at 168 pounds. The very moment Dawson made that challenge, he had made the fight vs Andre Ward many times more difficult. Dawson in my opinion had the ability to really push Ward, but he beat himself by forcing the fight at 168 pounds'.

I would much rather see David Benavidez vs Canelo Alvarez at 175 pounds 'Benavidez moved up into the 175 pound Divisions, because he could no longer continually to weight drain himself to make the 168 pound limit' etc.

Your enrty is a giant waste of time. Canelo not fighting Benavidez at 168 when he was mandatory or 175 or ever. Canelo the favorite is safe fighting 5,6,7-1 dawgs. Canelo Alvarez is "NEVER" going to fight someone "EVER" again who has a chance to win other than Canelo.

really sad to rob morrell exuberance , what the 12th round coulda been. if all he does is just win the 12th, its 114-113 and people look different. maybe he gets a kd and then its a draw. morrell is more performance wow

If they fight, which is still possible, Canelo is not just going to give Benavidez spaghetti legs a couple of times like Morrell did, his going to take him out.

What part of Morrell seriously getting to Benavidez and wobbling him and dropping him you didn’t catch? Alvarez is more accurate and arguably a bigger puncher, so hurting Benavidez and stopping him is not out of the question.

Dude I agree Canelo is a more accurate, experienced and overall skilled than Morrell is but Benavidez can take a hard punch too despite he now has 2 KD in his career but when was the last time the ginger stopped anybody? Again, I think Canelo still beats him but he aint gonna stop Bena cut the bs lol.

Benavidez deserved the win in an all action gun fight where both guys fought there hearts out. They both tested each other's chins but it was Benavidez that landed the cleaner shots and more of them. Each round was competitive and yet Benavidez had an edge in most of them. For my money 8 rounds to 4 would be a fair score.

Looking forward to Benavidez fighting the winner of Beterbiev vs Bivol. Somehow I think his style matches up better to Bivol and he would be overpowered by Beterbiev in a gun fight.

Question: If power alone isn't enough, can Morrell become a better boxer .....or..... does he need his opponents to fear his power in order to keep them at long range to be effective?
