Ryan will always be a major threat to Haney as long as Haney's defense is reliant on his reflexes. That speed is never not going to be an issue.

Do you see any way for Haney to beat Ryan?

nah
the only time he could have maybe beat ryan is when they were at 135 and if he could out size him, if ryan had less power from the weight cut.
haney's defense is really bad. He ACTS like a defensive fighter but when it comes down to it when the punches are flying at him he has really bad habits and gets hit a lot, his main tactic was to just hold.
Haney probably cant make 140 again and Ryan is his size, Haney isnt beating him. Haney should have lost or drew with Loma who belongs at 130lbs when haney was cutting in excess of 20 pounds to make 135. haney belonged at 140 then. Loma was 2 divisions smaller in reality.eco1 likes this.

he still has to outland to do that, if ryan brings the pressure like he did last time, haney will have a hard time his defense is so leaky. Yeah if ryan comes in comatose and lets haney fight his fight and do whatever he wants, grab, pop shot, run ect without trying to win himself sure haney could UD but not if Ryan lets his hands go, ryan got his punches through too fast before haney could really just tie him up all the time.

Haney should win because he does nearly everything better than Ryan. Ryan has one great weapon, his hook. Defensively, Haney had one job and in the first fight he failed miserabley. In a rematch, I think he keeps his right hand high and wins a wide UD.

If they are both training and competing under the same conditions 'Then yes Devin Haney can beat Ryan Garcia. People need to understand? That Ryan Garcia has never legitimately won any top level fights, under Championship conditions. His last performance against Devin Haney, does not count as a win. That is why it is now being classed as a no contest'.
Ryan Garcia was not training or competing on fight night 'Under the same conditions as Devin Haney, their contest was not an equal or fair fight. The very moment Garcia ether tactically or deliberately missed the 140 pound weight limit, and weighed in at 143 pounds. He was then competing with a manufactured advantage over Devin Haney'.
Note: Ryan Garcia on fight night would have been less weight drained 'And anyone who understands boxing, will know? That his durability and endurance would of been increased to a higher level, than if he would of adhered to Champion conditions and made the actual 140 pound weight limit'.
In my opinion? Ryan Garcia mostly likely early on his fight preparations for Devin Haney 'Had completely no intentions of making the weight limit. Garcia was probably aware of his importance, in terms of marketability for the entire boxing event. Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions put an extreme effort into pushing the fight. I think the promotion of the fight was great, as it was a combination of old school and new school marketing tactics'.
To conclude: So therefore, Ryan Garcia for many weeks was not preparing under the same conditions as Devin Haney 'One fighter was preparing to make the 140 pound weight limit, and the other fighter was not. Most honest boxing fans and analyst know? That at top level in the sport of boxing, every single pound that you can work with in the lower weight divisions. Is going to have a effect on a fighters overall performance on fight night and conditioning'.
Ryan Garcia's biggest advantage in his fight vs Devin Haney seemed to be his power, brute strength and durability 'Garcia has a very impressive level of combination punch speed, and his athleticism is also solid. Garcia in that regards is similar to Amir Khan'.
But Amir Khan skill for skill was a by far superior boxer to Ryan Garcia 'I personally don't think Garcia skill for skill, is a super talented fighter. But he is very aware of what his best attributes are, and his utilizes those areas if his game. His power and speed have won him fights, that potentially he would have lost if he had to rely more on his skill for skill boxing. Luke Campbell is his best win, Campbell skill for skill in my opinion? Throughout his career both as an Amateur and professional fighter was skill for skill a superior fighter to Ryan Garcia. Campbell overall still has a better resume than Garcia'.
If both Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney are training and competing under the same conditions 'Garcia power may not be inflicting as much damage upon Haney as their first fight. Once that element of the boxing action is altered, Devin Haney's better boxing ability may be able to negate Ryan Garcia attacks. And this is how potentially Devin Haney can win their rematch' etc.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 01-24-2025, 10:29 AM.

If he learns how to defend himself against the left hook and does more clinching he can close the gap and avoid all those knockdowns. He can't fight Ryan from the outside. Of course that would make for a boring fight watching this crybaby hug Ryan all night. Truthfully, Haney was exposed by Loma and got a gift that night. He's not the complete fighter his few fans think he is.
