Yes. Haney is a more technically skilled boxer. He just has defensive flaws, particularly his propensity to overreach and drop his right glove when jabbing. He got away with that before because he was the bigger man in the ring, and generally the faster one. But Ryan is faster than Haney. He's got some of the fastest hands in boxing. He's never so much as dropped anyone with his right hand though, so the only thing to worry about is that left hook. Haney just needs to drill keeping that right glove glued to his dang face when he's throwing the left, and being defensively responsible about taking his head offline if he's going to throw single jabs from mid range.

He should work on lateral footwork and circle away from the left since Ryan can't do any real work with his right and doesn't know how to cut off someone moving clockwise. All he needs to do is find an answer to that hook, and he's got the skills to win a clean points victory over Ryan. For that matter, Ryan is always going to be trying to land that left hook. Roll under it and send that uppercut underneath the armpit and he'll never see it coming. He's super predictable. Just need to get the timing down. That's why southpaws have an advantage against him. They can get outside his front foot and neutralize the hook and send the left straight down the pipe right into his face.

Haney doesn't have power, but Ryan is a deeply flawed fighter, and anyone who relies on one trick, no matter how good it is, can be beaten.

That is what he did in the first fight, he fought much more offensively than is usually the case and we saw the result. He need to just avoid the left hook, be boring, land, hold, reset. Ryan has alot of talent but isn't that skilled of a boxer.
