Dennis McCann positive drug tests were for Drostanolone and Trenbolone

According to a report from The Times. Some interesting things coming to the light on this topic, for anyone that cares.

Drostanolone (Commonly known as Masteron) and Trenbolone (Tren) being some quite fuckin potent compounds. Especially Tren, being probably the most potent PED on the Planet.

I don't actually recall a boxer ever popping for Tren before, could be wrong but I don't recall it. Going to be a hard job explaining away how that was from contamination. These two compounds are almost always taken via injection. But who knows these days. Frank Warren said they were waiting for the B Sample Good luck with that one.

Another interesting point being reported, Denis McCann was in a picture recently with Dr Usman Sajjad, who openly said recently on a podcast “you would have to be an idiot to fail a drug test in England,” who, for what it's worth, was also the doctor to Tyson Fury and Conor Benn who both tested positive for banned substances.

I'm far from an expert but doesn't Tren stay in your system for ages?

I know fighters aren't the smartest bunch but surely if you was going to use steroids you would do some sort of research, I mean you're an idiot if you do not do a huge amount but I just can not figure why so many athletes take such drugs which have super long half lives and come with a mountain of the worst possible side effects.
I almost get the impression they are just so ignorant and take anything with no research at all on side effects, half lives and detection, PCT, the actual substances themselves and so forth. This worries me almost as much as the fools getting an actual edge.

Tren's got to be one of the worst choices of PED for a boxer. I've used it myself (not for boxing) and it absolutely ruins your cardio. I'm talking a twenty second jog and you're blowing out your arse. I'd let my opponent use it.

        from google soooo:
Trenbolone is available in a number of preparations: the shortest esterified version available is trenbolone acetate, with a half-life of 1–2 days; trenbolone hexhydrobenzylcarbonate, which has a half-life of approximately 8 days; and trenbolone enanthate, which has a half-life of 11 days

Tren Enanthate yes, Tren Acetate no.

You are a correct in saying a boxer would be better off taking substances that are in and out your system, but even on a long acting ester they can still be quite easily masked though.

Was that for Bodybuilding though I'd assume? Meaning you were holding a lot of mass at the time I'd imagine?

I think in theory Tren could have benefits for a boxer in small dosages but in general I'd agree with you the better option is to stay away from it really with the amassment of sides.

I used Tren for over 20 years.

Tren is king for a lot of things, but it's terrible for cardio at any felt dosage.

Yeah, I'm with you. It's definitely not ideal for Boxing, I would certainly agree with that.

I wonder if any one has ever popped for Tren over the years, like I say this is the first time I can recall it happening from memory.

Not sure what that’s got to do with the thread but thanks for the input.
