It's good to hear that Devin is trying to make a fight, so all credit to him. As for Garcia sitting around trolling, he's always done that, but in all fairness to him, he did have a fight lined up which had to be cancelled due to supposed injury....

Totally ridiculous. Turkie knows sheet about boxing because Haney is a shot fighter who’s in it just for the $$$. Hearn, Warren, and S. Brown are deep in Turkie’s pockets while running their scam. Regarding Haney, Turki Alalshikh and especially Broner: Controversial events will always interest us fans as some of us would comment. Our hope is Turki will build up boxing to new levels of entertainment or at least accelerate competitive matches. Consistently, like the old days. My compassion (an emotion) is to forgive Turki and his Excellency’s regime for any and all past actions we consider as wrong, bad, evil, controlling, arrogant, etc…

Reading a recent post from The New Arab Staff, apparently from journalists, it states”:

If we take the above to be factual, we may assume or worry that even the Turki regime can follow our sad bunch of promotors and managers who’ve targeted short term profit over serous competition in boxing. That competition was what our, “old days” provided. The future will always move forward, we can’t go back but it’s probable that funding our top players only with no concern for where they came from, what created and developed them, ie the sport itself likely will destroy what’s left of it.

For now, we can see that similar attitude, of abuse if not total annihilation of boxing as what apparently occurred to people or groups from scandalous activities of this regime historically…

on a positive note I personally hope that the Turki regime plans to actually come to the aid of boxing in general and not just squeeze the last bit of lemon juice from our juiciest lemons.

Again….. with this hollow argument... Seriously? That bad man from the east is giving us the best match-ups in decades and as a boxing fan I'm grateful for his contribution. Is Turki Alalshikh sport washing or just trying to diversify beyond oil production into a destination state like Dubai? In either case, why would anyone care? Most boxing fans don’t care because it doesn’t directly affect them, besides, sport washing isn't new, it's in every aspect of professional sports.

The sport washing Americans should be concerned with is by the corporations that knowingly injure Americans and the corporate media that gives them cover. I mean look at the Phoenix Suns, they play at the United healthcare center, a company that denies prescribed care in 6 out of 10 instances... For profit. Should American healthcare companies be spending money on naming rights on stadiums? Or just covering healthcare costs?

If you want to talk about bad guys that’s fine, there are a lot of bad players. That said, the “bad man from the East” isn’t an argument, it’s an exhausted talk point by the entrenched crime bosses losing their choke hold on the sport.
