No one knows exactly what will happen in a boxing ring, but we can use our boxing knowledge and intelligence to make an educated guess based on styles of different fighters. It seems you are unable to beak down styles so I will reserve this discussion for someone else.

Boots might have not had a “top tier” fighter yet, but he has passed the eye test. Dude has massive potential and it is not far-fetch to match his style against other fighters.

He’s champion and Ortiz is not. Nobody has even given up a belt and chance at unification to move up to face a 0 time champ. You’re just clueless and don’t know how boxing works. Reid was a 0 time champion but he was a highly regarded undefeated Olympic gold medalist. Tito then fought a tune up fight and then when on to fight the undefeated Vargas who everyone thought would beat him. True champion right there that’s how real greats write their story. Not by ducking challenges to fight bums. Learn your boxing before you talk man you look dumb lol

That’s your comparison? Trinidad already unified at welterweight first genius, and had double digit title
defenses. Clearly did everything he intended to do in that division. You’re talking up Ortiz interim title
makes you look dumb and desperate.

I must say that Trinidad was a great example to prove your point. I also have to hand it to Virgil for taking on Madrimov without a title to gain. There was a time when boxers took on the toughest challenges, belt or no belt, as long as the price was right...

Maybe some of the frustration with Boots could be that he's been at welterweight for almost 10 years now man. How much longer do you think he'll be at welterweight before he unifies? Truthfully speaking, if he's as good as I think and many others feel he is, none of the others at 147 should be much of a challenge.

As a fan of Boots I'd like to see him unify, but as a fan of Boxing, I'd like to see how good he really is and see him take on the toughest challenges and the toughest challenges are not at 147, if I'm being honest.
