Fair point.
I don’t think an “insane” amount was offered but Benavidez said he was willing to accept $5 million to Canelo’s $45 million. That’s the amount Canelo was estimated to be making against the ATG guys he fought in Munguia, Charlo and Berlanga while the #1 contender at 168 has been calling him out.
Lmao
Ok then fangirl

Its disappointing because I would have liked to have seen the fight, he is made for canelo, he eats shots and is one dimensional.Last edited by garfios; 12-29-2024, 03:07 PM.

Lol benny just cant get the ginger out of his system, Boy should have never lost em belts, id say it once ,ill say it again. Talking bout 'insane figure' like hes some sort of big time ppv star. Cut the cap Benny and focus on DMJ instead.

He’s literally is being asked the question because it’s a fight that real fans wanted to see, so he answers. Just because Canelo fans hate to be reminded about his cowardly ways doesn’t mean he shouldn’t answer questions when asked and doesn’t mean he isn’t focused on his opponent.
As far as losing the belt for missing weight, Canelo has missed weight twice so it’s nothing to sit high and mighty about. The truth is, belt or not, Canelo would’ve avoided him. He only wanted to be undisputed after Benavidez got stripped and actually lobbied the wbc for the title just 2 days after he got stripped. Never before.

Plus Nelo knows that he has reached the type of stardom in boxing were he can literally fight a chicken a make good money..he spent the prime of his career putting in work against lil guys and faded champions to be in this position.
I also don't want to listen to any of the BS about him accomplishing so much that he doesn't need to fight tough challenges. No he really hasn't. He never beat the best fighter at 168 and his career from 154 to 160 is full of asterisks. He also holds the belts at 168 so he's obligated to fight the top challengers in that division. I don't even want to get into when he held the middleweight title but refused to fight above 155 pounds just to duck Golovkin when Golovkin was in his prime.Last edited by joseph5620; 12-29-2024, 12:01 PM.
