I honestly don’t care what the truth is because we’re only assuming as none of us know the dealings of what actualllywent on. I would love to see the fight and think it would be great for boxing. But as a boxing fan, I do understand the logic of wanting to unify in a division before moving up to face someone who isn’t accomplished in the sport just yet. I think everyone with sense agrees that while the fight would be great to have now, it has the potential to be a major fight down the line if these guys actually accomplished something relevant in the sport first. They could headline their own event as opposed to being on someone’s undercard.

He said he wanted to completely unify 147.

I literally posted the article of him saying that 6 months ago.

So you’d rather see Ortiz die than fight another day ???

He's not my favorite fighter, Crawford is.

That's the only person Boots has ever ducked.

He literally said he was getting older and willing to move up to 154 and called out Vergil Ortiz. All after the Karen rematch 1 month ago.

Yeah, post fight interview and conference.. I watched both to listen to what he would say and who he might want to fight next. I like Boots and thought he'd win a close hard fight battle against Virgil, but I have to admit that Boots said the reason why his performance against Karen wasn't all that was due to him not being challenged against Karen and 147 so he was thinking of moving up to 154 and Virgil's name was mentioned. He felt that fighting Virgil or the 154 cats would bring the best out of him.
