Lewis is right about what Fury should have done, but you have to be in a certain place mentally to fight that way and Fury hasn't been there for years.

I've said it a thousand times but the second knockdown in Fury vs Wilder 3 essentially finished Fury as an elite level fighter, I saw the fight leave his eyes and it never returned since then.

If you doubt me go back and watch that knockdown, fury sits on the floor, sighs and you can tell he's thinking about not getting up. He did, and won the fight because wilder was gassed, but that was the end of fury's career at elite level.

He's been forcing it for the money ever since, when he retired after Whyte I am one of few who believed he meant it, he knew he was done, but you know Fury is bipolar and loves the spotlight so he soon came back for money and attention.


Usyk on the other hand is still in love with the game and we see that in each and every performance.

I am sure you're right that the fights with Wilder took something out of him. I respect your take, but I don't think Fury even before Wilder, would have ever defeated Usyk at heavyweight. Even Fury 'at his best' is questionable considering having tested positive for Nandrolone.

Many many times we’ve see Lewis described as “defeats every man he’s ever faced”. While that is true, it leaves heavy context out. It suggest Lewis was undefeated.
This article did point that out and I am strenuously reminding others that Lewis got vaporized twice, by journeymen.

His best was against Hammer?! unless you're implying they just didn't bother testing for the Wlad fight because he didn't pop in that fight or Wilder 2 which was arguably his finest hour.

A great smaller fighter always beats a fat taller fighter. Fury beat a lot of smaller decent but not great fighters because of his size. He finally met a REAL boxer who even though lacked size out boxed him twice! That's why the sport is called boxing and not fighting! If Fury was in any other weight class where he was forced to fight same size fighters he'd be nothing but a journeyman to top 20 fighter. He fared better as a heavyweight because he was so much bigger than the current group of slow plodding , poorly skilled fighters he was in against. Heck a big MMA fighter had him down
