Lewis got knocked the phück out by Rahman and McCall. Both perennial flash in the pan journeymen. To use those words is to try to subtly hide the losses Lewis suffered.

Calzaghe, Floyd, Andre Ward, Marciano and Boots defeated every man they faced. That is an absolute statement.
What's non-sense about it? It is a very deliberately worded and factual statement. On top of that, the writer explicitly acknowledges the KO losses appositionally.

Lewis might be better than those fighters (he’s clearly not) but he did get knocked the phuck out. TWICE.

I just added Boots to that list, Boots’ still got to figure out his career trajectory but in th context of beating “everyone he’s faced”, well, he’s done it. Hasn’t he?
Ya but your insinuation is that he belongs with HOF fighters lol. Leave bootsy ootsy name where is belongs with the andrades of history not the greats thanks lol

Exactly! And that's what Lennox suggested Fury should have attempted. Instead of using his size, reach and weight advantages, he tried to outbox a man who made his career outboxing 40% of his opponents.

"Lone two"? Really? Isn't it just two?
Are there officially more than two defeats that Lewis suffered?

Fury got far in boxing because he has decent boxing skills and because of his gigantic size. He isn't a technician in the ring. He doesn't have the same pedigree of skills as a Holyfield, Holmes, etc. That is what costed him in his fights with Usyk. Usyk has great movement, pop in his punches and excellent boxing skills. Fury has decent movement, and ok boxing skills. Coming in at 20lbs heavier than the first fight was horrible.

This is not the first time I’ve read that malarkey about Lewis but you are right, for once, They did acknowledge his spectacular losses.

Let’s give it a different perspective. That moniker of “defeated every man he has faced” is as subtle as my point of including Boots in that category of defeating every man he’s faced. Without context, the average boxing fan will see it differently.

It’s kinda the same argument some make about a gift decision on just specific boxers.
Many times we see people argue about Floyd or Ward getting gift decisions when there’s dozens of gift decisions out there.

Am I right or not? You say yes, but then continue on about some vague notion of missing context. The statement is plainly factual AND the writer plainly acknowledges his losses. What's there to continue griping about?

Boots faced van Heerden, which ended in a no contest
Faced him but didn’t defeat him

Such a strange, random choice to mention Boots and he’s not even a valid example

You are right. Someone else corrected me about Boots’ record. He has a no contest fight which means he has not defeated everyone he’s faced.

So I’ll just Sven Ottke, Dariusz Michalczewski, Tank Davis and Shakur to join Lewis on that list of defeating everyone they’ve faced.
