If Turki wishes to be legitimate and bring that to Boxing, it would be much more honest to let both these jokers dress as clowns. I really really mean that. Will they? Pay them enough money, they’ll obviously do anything, CORRECT?… And apparently either Turki or his regime has the money to do that, right? OK! If they dress up in funny but professionally made costumes as clowns, and I am really, really being serious, and fight for that fake title, THAT, my friends will be entertaining

We often forget that the PURPOSE of a world title is to provide a SINGULAIR designation of the division's one best, won and lost only in the ring. For Boxing, which has no season, it is a logical way to determine a champion. But the process has spiraled out of control in recent decades as titles became proliferate, and a commodity sold to promoters in order to embellish the significance of their bouts between contenders. For this reason; title belts today have limited historical significance beyond what the holder can do in defending it.
The old system maintained a single bonafied issuer of titles, and provided special accolades to contenders for the title, with regional titles, national championships and meaning given to a fighter earning a Number 1 through 20 ranked position; which was a far more HONEST, and less confusing architecture.

If casual / mainstream fans and media people were to see through the short sighted business smoke of boxing's wild west administration; they would have an accurate and easily digestable view of Oleksander Usyk as only world champion; and a list of merit based contenders below him that would currently include:

Very long time contender Kubrat Pulev will have to do more than a decision over sub-75 ranked Charr in order to break back into the sweet 20.

If you're the recognized top champion of one of the big four, people will consider your titles legitimate no matter how you got them.

Personally, I only consider the TBRB/lineal champion to be the real champion in any division. But it doesn't stop people from calling Gervonta Davis a multi-weight world champion. The best thing for boxing is if this worthless regular belt is unified with the main belt as soon as possible and goes away forever.

I was simply pointing out that true legitimacy can't be conferred by a title or j*e*wel-encrusted belt, no matter how many casuals may want to believe in those symbols.

A ton of moving parts. And some of these parts actually are about a ton.....

I do not respect Hunter. but I like him a ton more than Miller and feel he is better tan Pulev. By default, I say let Hunter fight Pulev.

I remember first seeing Pulev fight back in 2013 when he faced off against Tony Thompson. That feels like a lifetime ago.

But I digress, the WBA is a joke. They claimed years ago that they would get rid of all these secondary belts and yet here we are with a potential fight between a washed up journeyman and serial-PED violator for their "regular" belt.

To be fair, and this will upset a lot of people because on this site a lot of clowns would give their left nut to have their DM’s replied back to from burrito boy jr. But Miller is the most deserving out of the three of them. He beat the ever living snot and soul out of Ruiz and they robbed him. Not saying he should be fighting for a championship.. but rather has had the most impressive fight out of the three of them in the last few years.

The issue is that one of these jokers could inherit the full WBA champion status if the Usyk/Fury winner vacates, retires, or skips out on a mandatory challenge. And nobody wants Jarrell Miller or Kubrat Pulev to inherit a legitimate heavyweight title.
