He definitely had the wrong attitude coming into the US. He didnt seem to understand that his "banter" and "cheeky" personality doesnt necessarily translate outside of the UK. Plus I think in the early days especially there was a bizarrely OTT focus on putting UK (and Irish) talent on US cards which is dumb for obvious reasons. I think it was the AJ/Ruiz MSG card that had like Callum Smith, Katie Taylor, Josh Kelly etc on it. it was ****ing weird.

Eddie is getting humbled by Queensberry.
His cash cow is at the end of his career, others have joined DAZN reducing his importance, and all significant events happen on the Riyadh Season managed by Frank Warren. So, without Frank, he won't be able to put on many big events and his stable would start moving over to where the action is happening.Comment

Loads of Brits live here in the USA, working in the petrochemical fields, entertainment, military, etc etc etc and they don’t have the problems he has. It’s. It a matter of “Americans just don’t get me”….they just don’t like you Eddie. You went to their country and acted like an ass. You spoke down to people, you sewed dissent, you tried to literally take Americans out of the equation in their own country and the fact the you expected them to welcome that with open arms speaks volumes about the lingering “empire” mindset that the affluent have back home in the UKComment

Look, I don't know a Eddie personally.
So, who knows what he's really like.
But from what he's shown us publicly, I think he's a solid dude, and for my money, the most likable promoter in the game. For the life of me, I do not understand the hate he gets. He's well spoken, doesn't blow a lot of smoke, answers questions candidly...... What else do people want?
Now, if behind the scenes he's a dirt bag, robbing fighters, and what not.... ok. But someone's going to have to show me that. What I've seen? He's a credit to the sport.Comment
