Comments Thread For: Richard Torrez Jnr would take 'big step up tomorrow'

American heavyweight prospect Richard Torrez Jnr is fully aware of the cautionary tale of moving along too fast. The 2020 Olympic silver medalist saw firsthand how his Top Rank promotional stablemate Jared Anderson bit off more than he could chew against Martin Bakole in August, getting stopped inside five rounds.

Yeah, I mean I think he's ultra exciting and IS darn good, but it's time to really test him. My hope for tomorrow is that Munoz will force him to the final bell at the very least. I think his next fight should be against a mover instead of the tree trunks he's faced thus far.

Not sure about Munoz being that much of a step up
Going by his record would not suggest that
Having last fought Joey D you’d figure they’d throw him in with someone with more substance
Unless the boys at TR saw something g they didn’t like anyway I call bullchit stating this fight is a step up

He has star potential as long as he can keep delivering the goods in the ring.

I don't think Richard can box worth spit. He is stiff, awkward and slow. I don't see much potential.
