Does Sunny have enough coin to stay retired ???
He’s only 28 but I’ll tip my hat to him if he does retire and stays away

Everything he says suggests he is worn out & just worn down by it all. I definitely wouldn't be surprised if this time next year he makes a comeback.

Sunny Edwards is a fearless man.

Commiserations on the defeat, congratulations on a good boxing career.

It's gotta be tough when literally every single last fighter knows he's not getting hurt by you but Sunny made the most of a unique skill set & is 100% definitely the best boxer in his family.

I enjoyed his career a lot & will now take the liberty of summing it up in five simple words: 'He mostly made them miss.'

Yafai is easily dominated the action. Overwhelmed Edwards with constant volume. Edwards talked about lacking the will or energy.

Very good post from my man JeBron Lamez

I remember once they asked an American trainer, 'who is the bravest boxer you can think of?' I think they were expecting him to name a guy that went into war after war like Arturo Gatti or Mickey Ward. He said 'Chris Byrd'. Why? Because he got no power to keep MoFos off, all he has is his skills but he keeps getting in there doing it. I mean, all boxers are brave but, if you think about it, going up against a tank with a peashooter is the bravest thing of all.

Bam has to take some credit for his leaving the ring on a more permanate basis....after a while if u can not keep them off you with your hands and your feet will not allow you to dance anymore.

I still criticise the timing of the stoppage; too early, but now in this context, it's not that bad, seeing as he just didn't have it for this fight.

Maybe with a year out or some months out with rest, he'll decide he can come back.

But his body and mind needs an extended period of rest. Your body can only do that much, it'll tell you when it's time out for a while.

Sunny is talking like a loser. I think he finally got frustrated at having no power. Just too much of a disadvantage at the top level
