If so he's dumber than I thought. Shakur is almost guaranteed to win against Schofield right now and he isn't likely to get anyone better than Schofield once Zepeda fled anyway. Plus Eddie said he made an offer already, so Shakur should be like "I'll be nice and fight you for an easy money win only because you asked for it lol, thank me later" then if/when they reject it he could've laughed with "he asked and I accepted but then ran away lolol" position.

That was strange. Eddie says "I have sent an offer to Schofield" and Shakur says "go fight Mason first. WTF? Are these two even talking to each other? If I was the promoter and my fighter behaved like this I would be very piiisseeed.

That’s a decent fight because both have had sub par fights lately but Abdullah is a hand full for anyone in the next year or two. He’s a bit more seasoned than Schofield in my opinion.

This is a major problem with boxing. Who is Shakur Stevenson to think he's a consolation prize in order to fight? What really does he have to offer? This dude is a boring fighter who spends most of the fight running around the ring. Boxing needs to do something to end this foolishness and make these guys fight each other! It's more talking and ducking each other than actually fighting! It's ridiculous! Fans needs to to stop supporting this mess, until the fights they want to really see are made!

Matchroom tends to make promises to get fighters to sign and then deliver everything but. Shakur signed up for it so he can either fight the fights or go the Andrade route and age in the gym. His other option was to sign with PBC and pray he gets one of their 6 per year fight dates or stay with Arum for whatever he can get. In the end, everyone is trying to screw the next guy, lie about it and blame someone else. The only guys that make out are the sanctioning bodies and the part time judges.

And what is Shakura going to do meanwhile? Keep staying inactive? Would probably take a minimum of 2 months before a deal is made between Mason and Schofield, assuming GBP and TR would work together for the fight. Then the fight would be scheduled another 2 months minimum. Fight is completed and Schofield has to take a vacation for 3 months minimum. Man, Shakura would be back in 2026! What a crazy sport. GB Oscar DLH is right. It's the fighters that is screwing up the sport.

True. Schofield vs Mason might not be easy to make, while Stevenson only had to say yes for the Schofield fight as they're with the same platform DAZN. I think Shakur would rather say yes to the Cordina fight.
