A rematch where the first one was real good, and the second one having the potential to be just as good or even better is always nice. Not having to worry about it being a snoozer is always a bonus.

A KO win would be exciting, but a duked out action packed decision would be nice too.

I know what you mean, but the one that was down and out was espinoza not Ramirez.

I’ve got Ramirez in the rematch. The difference in the first fight was mainly Espinoza’s greater conditioning and work rate. Robeisy was hanging on for dear life by the end, but he could’ve finished the fight much earlier. I’m banking that the Cuban comes in with better conditioning in the sequel, and also tries to finish Raffy off befire the final bell. Either way, this promises to be a great fight.

I wrote in another thread, but I'm getting a feeling that if Espinoza wins, he'll move up to 130 and ask WBO to put him immediately to the No. 1 ranking and fight the winner of Navarette/Valdez 2 for another Mexican ****er. Given the current ranking for WBO is Robeisy, Carrington, and Khegai who is all signed with Top Rank, in that case Robeisy will fall and probably lead to Carrington vs Khegai for the vacant WBO so that he can guarantee Carrington get a 126 title before Inoue moves up.

If Espinoza loses to Robeisy next week, depending on how good the second fight was I can see a trilogy with him on the first half of 2025, then moving up anyway regardless of result of result due to weight issues. Or simply moving up and fighting the loser of Navarette/Valdez 2.

I will be flipping coins to make a prediction on this one, because I got no real gut call. Both of these fighters can win the rematch, and as you can tell from this thread it really is not that hard to reason out how.

Maybe like a best of seven. Not sure who is heads or who is tails yet. That is a big decision.

I will say the current beltholder is head, so Espinoza. Flip a coin twice, and...
              Head-Head Espinoza KO
              Head-Tail Espinoza decision
              Tail-Head Robeisy decision
              Tail-Tail Robeisy KO

Then do that 7 times to see which one of those results happens the most for best of seven. If multiple results tie the best of seven...I dunno, a draw?

Hell , that's almost SCIENCE ! Ancient AI.

You should have a non boxing fan do the flipping. It will keep you from subconsciously affecting the outcome.

THIS is why I love this site. THIS kind of problem solving. How far into the weeds ca we pull coin flipping?

Oh so far... we can drag it so far down....

Like I said, easier this time.
