I'm not sure who I am picking yet. Benny has more experience and we've seen him get mean.
Morrell is ungodly strong and has that amateur pedigree.
The only thing we can say for sure about Morrell is that he wanted this, and I applaud him. That, and I am sure Shields will have him more than ready. -
Where is that angry Dominican poster
IDK how people dont see through Team Benavidez. Swore theyd fight Morrell if no Canelo, now they're going to 175 to fight a b- level guy who will be 37 on fight night. And NOBODY can say "but but but hell be the mando for Bivol/Beterbiev winner". He KNOWS hes not getting that fight. Eddie Hearn has already said he'd

This is Morrell's coming out party or where he sinks. I like the match up because you know David and you have seen what Morrell can do. Time to see if Morrell can take it to the next level or is able to find a second gear.Comment

Morrell is here for the fight just to dispel the boogeyman theory. Now that it's happening, he's still bragging about it. That's what he wanted everyone to focus on in the presscon. He can't stop mentioning it. He'll probably brag about going the distance next if he survives.Comment

I don’t see how you can favor Morrell here. Of the two, Benavidez has fought better opponents. It’s the best indicator we have in this case. You can’t go off the “eye test.” I don’t think either has an advantage there anyway. Both athletes are young and hungry. I think the Cuban’s chances are good, he can’t be overlooked at all, but given what we have to work with I’d say it’s 60-40 Benny. Juan Manuel Márquez recently said he’s looking forward to this fight; he thinks it’s great and he favors the Mexican. He added that this is why they make the fights: to find out who’s who. I couldn’t agree more.Comment
