Norman will probably never make that money ever in all his purses combined.
He was going to fight a random fighter in an undercard this month until he got hurt!
The ennis bam card was on DAZN for free. Paying 2M to Norman jr wouldn’t have been steep if they believed ennis could easily take his title. Ennis isn’t some household name that can tell other champions “take it or leave it.” They claim they want to unify well if they do they will have to pay the other champions more than 1.2M. Eddie knows this. He did it to Andrade. Boots a non factor

I wish Norman would just fight Boots and put his money where his mouth is. The fight wouldn't be hard to make. Whoever wins this fight becomes the next household name.

Ok Norman... Then sign the contract... I'm critical of Boots' team for turning down fights, but you had a contract and priced yourself out.

Simple math.....$1.7M for a guy that gave Brian a wedgie in band camp - vs- $200K for the under-card in a non-title fight.

Bob Arum represents Brian Norman and he offered Brian a 200k fight to walk away from Boots Ennis and Brian took it.

Eddie Hearn represents Jaron Ennis, he offered Brian Norman 1.7 million. Bob Arum represents Brian Norman, he offered? Nothing! Instead, Top rank offered Brian Norman $200k for a non-title, under-card which by Brian Norman Sr estimates will net Brian around $90k. You can't make this up!

The general response from the sporting public...."WHO THE FU<K IS BRIAN NORMAN, NEVER HEARD OF HIM, IS HE INTO BOXING ?
                "

There is only ONE reason Bob Arum passes on even making an offer to another fighter, it's because he thinks his fighter will get KTFO!

Oh look it’s my biggest fan. Ya against an easy win fight. Brian Norman is 23 and already accomplished more in the sport than booty ennis. He just won his title and is pretty unknown to most in the sport. In his first fight since winning Eddie offered him 1.2M to unify. Why would any sane person accept that offer? He’s making 200k to fight nobodies. He’s 23. Why would he take a cash out fight at that age? If fast Eddie wants him to take such a risk at 23 and after he just won the belt at least compensate the kid properly. And hey….when’s Spence/fundora happening bro? Heheheheh

And there's the exact problem. Apparently in the US it has become an unwritten rule that you must overpay if you want to take away something from another promotion especially when you are more than likely going to win as in the case of Boots/Norman, but Eddie/Boots decided that they didn't want to. Brian Norman knows that at age 23, he can take multiple easy fights to stay "undefeated" "world champion" for a good few years and wait for the best cashout opportunity that amounts to more than 1.7 million without having to face Boots for an automatic loss without even getting a chance to savour the moment as a world champion so to speak. It also doesn't help that the general response from the sporting public outside Philly is "WHO THE FU<K IS BOOTS ENNIS, NEVER HEARD OF HIM, IS HE INTO BOXING ?" as well.

Which comes down to the argument I've been vouching...Boots should go up and challenge for the IBF 154 against Murtazaliev. Murtazaliev definitely thinks he'd win the fight, so I don't see him rejecting an offer from Boots. Meanwhile, if Boots is truly as good as his fans claim to be, he should be able to take on Murtazaliev and win. If he wins, he has a solid claim at being the top guy of 154 and have better opponent pool available from top down. If he loses, all it does is prove that Boots was just a literal hype train and nothing special and his critics were correct, simple as that.
