in a recent press conference she said about her first fight with taylor

"I'm going in there extra confident for this fight because I thought I needed just a little more to get the victory in the first fight, but it's great to have a great dance partner like Katie Taylor"

I think the constant head butting and the gash opened really changed the tempo of the fight. Serrano looked sloppy after that. One thing I noticed is Taylor was the master at controlling range, Serrano is just inferior to Taylor when it comes to controlling the range and that really worked for Taylor

Taylor - Persoon I was a classic example of one fighter winning more rounds but the rounds that the loser won were won more impressively. Without a KO it doesn't mean anything, another example of exactly this was Khan vs Maidana.

What a terrible job of refereeing. Constant and deliberate head butting by Taylor. Egregious and with intent. Disgraceful.

I didn't score rounds, I thought it was pretty much dead-even after the final bell rang. The cut definitely affected Serrano and Taylor's punches seemed a bit more spiteful this fight compared to the first (or maybe hard hitting shots came from her forehead).

If they run it back a third time, I wouldn't be mad.

I didn't see deliberate head butting. You've got a southpaw and an orthodox fighter in there so it's always a risk. Serrano was coming forward and Katie isn't obligated to keep going backwards - she's entitled to hold her feet and come forward herself at some point.

Serrano could have adjusted but she just kept walking her face into them. It's the lack of ability to adjust that keeps costing her against Taylor.

I didn't score round by round, but I thought Katie was doing great work that was being disregarded by the commentators and it was clear that decent scoring would have it close.

¡ROBBERY! Besides the fact that Serrano threw over 200 more punches, landed over 100 more and landed the more effective punches(just like in the first fight) She hurt Taylor more than once, that right there should have determined who won.
Meanwhile Kaie "the Ram" Taylor's best shots was with her head & the judges seemed to reward her for that.
At the end of the day, no matter what the reason was, there's no doubt that Serrano got screwed.
Horrible decision.
