C'mon man, they were showing clips of Taylor headbutting her then pushing her around the ring with her head! Haha it was insane! A disgrace really, as it was a really good fight.I didn't see deliberate head butting. You've got a southpaw and an orthodox fighter in there so it's always a risk. Serrano was coming forward and Katie isn't obligated to keep going backwards - she's entitled to hold her feet and come forward herself at some point.
Serrano could have adjusted but she just kept walking her face into them. It's the lack of ability to adjust that keeps costing her against Taylor.
I didn't score round by round, but I thought Katie was doing great work that was being disregarded by the commentators and it was clear that decent scoring would have it close.Comment

Well deserved win for Taylor..Serrano was one leading w that hammer head...Taylor is.passed her prime and still beat Serrano 2 times no need for a 3rd fight..Taylor has the belts is 2-0 against her Serrano brings nothing to the table for a 3rd fight..retire katyComment

I didn’t score, but it appeared to me Amanda should’ve gotten the nod. I thought the point deduction on Katie was unjust, but scoring it, as the judges would’ve had to, would seem to give Serrano the fight. But this was no robbery. Bad decision, maybe. Whatever the case, this was another classic by these two warriors. Amanda, especially, showed some real guts fighting with that third eyelid. I thought for sure the fight would be stopped. That was one nasty gash. She was all class, dignified as could be, after that tough decision.Comment

Katie looked like a middle linebacker plugging the hole, helmet first. She launched her head into Serrano all night long. Even Ray Charles saw it.I didn't see deliberate head butting. What a lame brained comment. So because Serrano landed all about 1 punch in the first round that buzzed Taylor after she ate leather the entire round she should win it? You have a southpaw and orthodox fighter coming forward, and replays showed Serrano leading with her head as well. You also do know Compubox isn’t an official thing right? It’s done by a random dude at his house watching it on tv, it’s just a guideline: clearly if you watched the fight Serrano didn’t land over a 100 punches more, especially after the cut. It was 1 punch to 4-5 at a time coming back. Taylor also landed the crisper punches bc Serrano couldn’t adjust. Just say you’re biased bc she’s Boricua and don’t know boxing and call it a day pal.¡ROBBERY! Besides the fact that Serrano threw over 200 more punches, landed over 100 more and landed the more effective punches(just like in the first fight) She hurt Taylor more than once, that right there should have determined who won.
Meanwhile Kaie "the Ram" Taylor's best shots was with her head & the judges seemed to reward her for that.
At the end of the day, no matter what the reason was, there's no doubt that Serrano got screwed.
Horrible decision.Comment

The headbutts conversation is overstated. There were 5 headbutts that fight. The ref took a point off for intentional headbutting - at the same time when the replays clearly showed that it was not intentional, and Roy Jones said that he disagrees with that, and it's clearly not intentional, just a product of ortho+southpaw fighting.
As for punches, Katie started slow, had a horrible first round. Afterwards, she got better every round, even standing and exchanging with Amanda in later rounds (something she has no business doing). She had better punches and more control.
It was an amazing fight.. and it sucks that someone had to lose it.Comment
