Serrano could have adjusted but she just kept walking her face into them. It's the lack of ability to adjust that keeps costing her against Taylor.
I didn't score round by round, but I thought Katie was doing great work that was being disregarded by the commentators and it was clear that decent scoring would have it close.real raw likes this.

Well deserved win for Taylor..Serrano was one leading w that hammer head...Taylor is.passed her prime and still beat Serrano 2 times no need for a 3rd fight..Taylor has the belts is 2-0 against her Serrano brings nothing to the table for a 3rd fight..retire katyMike D likes this.

I didn’t score, but it appeared to me Amanda should’ve gotten the nod. I thought the point deduction on Katie was unjust, but scoring it, as the judges would’ve had to, would seem to give Serrano the fight. But this was no robbery. Bad decision, maybe. Whatever the case, this was another classic by these two warriors. Amanda, especially, showed some real guts fighting with that third eyelid. I thought for sure the fight would be stopped. That was one nasty gash. She was all class, dignified as could be, after that tough decision.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.

At the end of the day, no matter what the reason was, there's no doubt that Serrano got screwed.
Horrible decision.Mike D likes this.

The headbutts conversation is overstated. There were 5 headbutts that fight. The ref took a point off for intentional headbutting - at the same time when the replays clearly showed that it was not intentional, and Roy Jones said that he disagrees with that, and it's clearly not intentional, just a product of ortho+southpaw fighting.
As for punches, Katie started slow, had a horrible first round. Afterwards, she got better every round, even standing and exchanging with Amanda in later rounds (something she has no business doing). She had better punches and more control.
It was an amazing fight.. and it sucks that someone had to lose it.Monty Fisto
