Man, all of this reminds of our recent election, where the people who've been in control are freaking out because the new person taking over is supposedly so awful, while not understand that most people don't care because they themselves have been completely terrible & people just want to punish them.

    Same there here.

It's hard to get worked up about how evil Turki is when Don King, Bob Arum, Oscar De La Hoya, and Al Haymon have been screwing up boxing for years.

Ring was obviously pro-Canelo when he was with Oscar & had a deep Golden Boy bias

I feel about Turki like I feel about Trum(p).

You got in there because of the sheer incompetence of everybody currently in power, either do better, or we'll kick your ass out, too.

Lot of folks are bending the knee to him, and now with him buying and controlling the media, he has bigger ambitions
      Sound familiar?

Out with the old, in with the new. Fresh blood is always good for the sport.

This more than ever proves why we need the TBRB.

Would I prefer the boxing media (or any media in general) to be owned and operated independently and not by promoters sanctioning bodies and repressive governments? Yes.

However that's not the reality in this sport. I'm not sure it ever has been. Money and power have always hand in the corruption of the sport.

I had to stop reading the article after the following words

a regime associated with murder. (Google search “Jamal Khashoggi” if you’re somehow unfamiliar

I mean, does anyone know the country that is responsible for thousands deaths every single year outside of their own borders? It is not Saudi Arabia.
Are we still going to attack Saudi's for sports washing when there are countries which are 100 times more guilty for murders all over the world?

I know this is a boxing site and we should not be talking politics, but every week somebody is posting about what Saudi's are doing and blindly ignoring what their own country is doing to everybody else on Earth.

When it comes to SA, everybody suddenly turns into a political journo/reporter/pretender.
Have you ever heard of a thing called a mirror?

Btw, I'm sure Garry will give you a high five for this lovely hit piece. You really gave your best.

Going to be kind of funny if the publication will only allow articles that‘praise’ him and how‘excellent’ is lol. I can’t fault Türkiye for taking advantage of the spineless, money-grumbling bureauc****. Disgusting. Oscar and Eddie going to be sitting on his lap on their first cover

This just solidifies The Rings irrelevance
