I posted an article after the Crawford Madrimov fight which detailed everyone guaranteed purses for that fight night. It wasn't anything really over the top. Crawford was guaranteed $2.5M and Madrimov got $750K. What is not published is how much an upside from the PPV they got.

Keep in mind the $19 mil is basically the price Saudi is paying Inoue to have him put the Riyadh logo on his boxers and be allowed to have his face printed on a poster that says Happy 70th Anniversary for Japan-Saudi relations. It doesn't have any fight agreements, Ohashi specifically emphasized it.

He's gonna get another fat pay check if/when Inoue actually fights on a Riyadh card, which would be next year winter at the earliest for all we know.

Given the sales of the PPV not being crazy high, probably below the $10mil someone mentioned a while back.

No wonder Fulton was more than happy to get on the plane to Japan, he got over $5 mil on guaranteed purse alone on that fight.

I was under the impression that the event lost millions, I'm wondering if there was any upside to distribute among any of the fighters....

When Turki calls, you pack your bags.

Tim better listen instead of taking beatings for chump change.

I don't think that they sold many PPV'S , for as highly anticipated as the card was it sure was a dud . They didn't even sell out the little arena. In a state with such a huge population and lots of them boxing fans it surprised me that they resorted to basically giving away tickets and still didn't fill the place. Crawford sells a lot of tickets in Omaha , they should have fought there.

If you don't mind , could you please post a link to your article ? Thanks !
