  • Comments Thread For: Was Robson Conceicao-O'Shaquie Foster I a true robbery?

Robson Conceicao and O'Shaquie Foster really shouldn't be doing this a second time. Their first fight, July 6 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, just wasn't engaging enough to warrant a rematch.

This was perhaps the most blatant robbery this year.It was extremely tough to give any more than 2-3 rounds to Conceicao.

Judges were obviously biased to.the aggressor. Foster's going to have to dig deep like he did in the Chucky fight to walk away with the W. Top Rank wants the Brazilian to keep the belt.

I had it close. I think you can say the wrong man got the decision without the outcries of corruption.

I have thought Conceicao was on the wrong side of robberies before, in some cases outlanding the "winner" by almost double. But he didn't deserve the win vs Foster. I expect Shock to right the wrong, although I'm glad Conceicao did finally get a world title belt to call his own, thanks to the previous robberies.

Foster won but maybe the silver lining is that he will fight more offensively in the second fight for fear of getting jobbed again.

The impression I'm getting from the results is that the judges were simply just not very good at scoring boxing rounds to say it politely. The end result may be that the wrong man won, but I don't think Bob paid the judges to move the belt from Foster to Robson or anything.

Been watching boxing for nearly 50 years. That was one of the worse robberies IMO.

Smells like Charlo-Harrison 1 with perhaps a similar ending. Shock by TKO in 9.
