Jared Anderson is talented with a certain type of opponent. A B- of C level opponent. Bakole is a very good puncher but like they said doesn't move a lot. Anderson had quicksand under him and didn't move at all and stayed in front of Bakole until he got knocked out. His trainer should have prepared him to move around the ring and not stay directly in front of Bakole. This sounds to me that Top Rank was feeding Anderson tomato cans, built up his confidence then put him in with a higher level fighter and look at what happens. Anderson needs better trainers who will develop a game plan with him for these type of fights along with defense to avoid some of those punches coming at him. Anderson is one dimensional, doesn't move well, doesn't have good defense so he got a L because of the limitations of his style. If Anderson doesn't add more variety to his style then he won't last long in the heavyweight division.

Why do I get the feeling Bob is talking out the side of his mouth here? I think Jared can come back, he just needs to get rid of his 'I'ma retire at 30' mentality. I wouldn't push for a rematch right away but if they run it back in a few years I'll watch.

That's really all they can do, but I don't think he's around for the long haul, so does it really matter.

Rebuilding causes somebody to dig deep within themselves & i'm not sure Big Baby is capable of at this point.

Anderson's never sounded like someone who wanted to be a professional boxer. His extracurricular activities outside the ring don't help his case either. As for fighting Bakole, being it was sponsored by Turki, the money was probably too much to turn down.

It’s never that scumbags fault as long as he gets his f@&k the fighters…Anderson has been a prospect for 5 years now who’s training this guy? He’s not the type of fighter to give a one hitter and quitter he needs to have good footwork and mobility

It's Andersons style. I called it long ago. Anderson trys to fight like he's Shakur or Keyshawn. You cannot fight that way in the HW division at a high level. Smaller fighters can bcuz they can use their feet but not heavies.
