At this point I’m not sure there is much that can be done based off how he lost. He doesn’t appear to take punches well, his head movement is flawed as he keot ducking into uppercuts, he didn’t seem to understand that a stick and move style would have benefitted him the most, and his comments afterwords just showed he isn’t a warrior and doesn’t have a championship mindset. Not really interested in seeing him fight again

His trainer should have prepared him to move around the ring and not stay directly in front of Bakole. This sounds to me that Top Rank was feeding Anderson tomato cans, built up his confidence then put him in with a higher level fighter and look at what happens. Anderson needs better trainers who will develop a game plan with him for these type of fights along with defense to avoid some of those punches coming at him. Anderson is one dimensional, doesn't move well, doesn't have good defense so he got a L because of the limitations of his style. If Anderson doesn't add more variety to his style then he won't last long in the heavyweight division.

Bob says he will rebuild Anderson until he decides it's easier to feed him to another prospect. Anderson still has value so TR will keep him around but the moment he doesn't have value, Ol' Bon will cut him from the roster.

Its obviously very good for boxings mainstream profile to have American HW stars in the mix.
Out of a country of 330 million people the possibility of producing a great HW is completely ruined because of two sports leagues that have about 2000 people total in them, many not HW sized and/or not American? really?

Jared is young and have loads of talent, but it comes down to what are you willing to sacrifice to get to the next level, setbacks are designed for setups and part of being young is making foolish decisions rather it’s financially or socially one must decide before time passes them what do I want and how do I accomplish it. I see all the negativity Jared receives but most people of this type never did well themselves and are who they are. Jared has defensive flaws which need a great deal of improvements and the trainer’s he’s been with haven’t stepped up to do it and may very well not know but it’s needed. I see an in shape defensive minded Jared causing problems with the best of the best, he’s got talent lots of it, just needs developing and he has to want it and be hungry this isn’t a gimme sport I have the right looks and personality.

I think he could mix it with the top guys for sure. He would be a live dog against AJ, Dubios, Fury.Last edited by Theshotyoudontsee; 10-24-2024, 01:30 PM.
