What do they think is going to happen here? It's a walkover for Beterbiev for not much money. Are they looking for step aside money for Eifert? Do they want somebody else to be their champion? They're just being sticklers for their rules? Enforcing a mandatory for a guy with only 13 fights. It's a bad look to even have Eifert as your top challenger in a weight class with so many better fighters.
It depends too on how he got that top contender status . If he wins fights against guys ranked higher than him , he has to move up , same as if he wins eliminators. I'm just thinking out loud , I don't have any idea if he earned the spot or is just very well managed and has a bought position. You're right though , I can't see this fight making much money for anyone , except for Eifert getting what should be a good paycheck for him. Just looking at their comparative records , I've already counted two pre-emptive knockdowns against Eifert and I'm about to get the Doctor to have a look at him.

That should have happened when the FBI busted them taking bribes. They shouldn't have survived that. No wonder so many people don't watch boxing because they think that it's all fixed.

Screw these sanctioning bodies. I'd give anything to see ALL fighters come together and collectively refuse to pay those 3% sanctioning fees and put them all out of business in rapid succession. Maybe make their own belt that is ceremonial the way it should be. Maybe have it run by some non profit boxing people who value the meaning of the concept champion. Then we wouldn't have this undisputed, unified, etc BS. It's so absurd just with the four then they have the audacity to create different versions of their own titles like super and regular and interim diamond, green, etc just utter nonsense. Let's just make "A CHAMPION" ... As in one champion per division. If I got everything I wanted, I'd also do away with about half of the divisions and go back to eight divisions the way it was for most of time. Maybe keep strawweight for the tiny dudes and Cruiserweight just because of that massive leap between 175 and the heavys. You'd have ten champs in all of boxing not almost 70 which is absurd.

I'd also like to see some instant replay system as well as next day scoring and have like twenty judges who have the ability to override the original judges so we can do away with all these robberies we always have. Lots of boxings problems seem easily solvable. Makes you wonder why there's never any progress.

Problems are not solved because people who make the most money out of the current system do not want to have it solved. Only boxing fans want the problem solved, but unfortunately we don't make any money out of it so we do not dictate what happens and we do not vote as one. We cannot even agree on who won the fight even with video recording and slow motion replays.

If Turki has all this money why can't he just buy the IBF, WBO and WBA and call it day ? He's already match making. Might as well act as a governing body and sanction their own champions. Atleast if they create this new belt it will be legit because Turki makes you fight the best regardless of your record.

IBF is just like IBO: monkey business. I mean, the higher the monkey climbs up the tree, the more one can see its red arse.

                  2. How they possibly rank Yarde and Ismailov below unknown Eifert. The IBF is obligated to provide an answer in writing justifying this insane decision.

Whatever rationale the IBF concocts should be made public so that we see how utterly s t u p I d and ridiculous the ranking of Eifert is as compared to other fighters they rank. This will be embarrassing for the IBF but they must provide an answer in writing within 2 weeks of such request.
The IBFs policy on rankings is no big secret. In order to secure a #1 or #2 rating, you MUST fight an elimination bout with another fighter in the IBF rankings. They do not just "appoint" mandatory challengers. Its actually a much fairer process, as fighters without powerful managers or promoters still can FIGHT their way to a title shot. The problem is that many of the better known fighters (probably Yarde as well) choose NOT to do an eliminator bout, and end up fighting for a WBC, WBO, or WBA title instead, so then the IBF eliminators end up being between much lesser known fighters.

Not sure why the WBC escape?

To be fair, he has created a belt. Usyk and Beterbiev have been seen holding them aloft.

I'm going to assume that both come to the ring in their next fight holding them and are announced as Undisputed Champion.

That would be a statement of intent.

This isn't even close to what happened to carnela lmfao this is similar to usyk-fury. Carnela had 2-3 fights as undisputed before a mandatory was ordered and stripped crybaby
