  • That decision was Bullshit! Beterbiev lost this fight and I even picked him to win it too. However, he didn’t. Bivol did and he really fucked him up in the process while doing it too.

Dmitry not only out jabbed him but landed the cleaner punches the whole fight while throwing them in bunches as well.

In addition, he looked like.a Light heavyweight version of Willie Pep; With his constant movement and ring generalship.

While on the other hand Beterbiev could hardly land or throw shitI. I thought he looked both old, slow and lethargic to me.

Perhaps, it was due to ring rust or perhaps itt was just Bivol’s style. In any case the decision was a miscarriage of justice.

The judges got it all wrong this time. I hope they run it back but in a different venue next time.

      • I had Bivol 115-113, disappointed at the result but thankful to have seen two masters do battle.

Also very impressed that there hasn't been one comment suggesting Bivol "has been found out" or "is over hyped". Quite unusual when a fighter loses his 0

We are now saying a war in Yemen and half a million have perished so far.
We invaded Vietnam. We waged a proxy war against Iran from 1980-1988 with over a million dead.

Here are 10 conflicts we’ve caused over the years. I’m guessing you believe it’s about enforcing democracy and “protecting our interests”?

Are you on the right website for this kind of talk? No, you’re not. Unless it was a million boxing matches in Iraq or half a million in Vietnam, nobody on here to discuss boxing would really be interested. There’s a place called “Facebook” have you tried that? Or one of the other places, instagram or tick took, youtube etc

            • What the decision by the judges showed was even had Bivol not gave up the last couple rounds he would have still lost by split decision, which is Bulls _ i t and Stevie Wonder could see that! Another bad look for boxing they have to do better!

I have noticed something very strange in these comments. As usual in a close fight, fans opinion is divided on who won the fight. Everybody has their own arguments and their own way of scoring et etc.

However, this is the first time that I have read a number of comments saying - I picked Beterbiev to win, I am Canadian, I am a Beterbiev fan BUT I think he lost and Bivol got robbed. Perhaps I am wrong but I have never seen so many fans (in a close fight) openly admitting their favorite fighter lost. By the way I have not read a single comment saying I am a Bivol fan but I thought he lost, he should have done more.

Bivol showed that he was as skilled a boxer as advertised, if one didn't already know.
I thought Tim Bradley made a good comment right after the fight that Bivol should have blunted Beterbiev's late-round swarming attacks by clinching and holding.
Easy for me to say yeah, he shoulda done that, but I agree with it.

Damn right he did. Still, nice to see no-one trying to clown him for losing

                    • I did not conscously and strickly score the fight during the fight, it can take something away from the fight when doing that just me how i watch a fight. But i did watch the damn fight. It was not what i expected it was a good fight but not one for the ages, i will not be re-watching it thru the years is what i am saying. Not taking anything away from the performances of either fighter. I was disappointed that Better did not do better in his campaign inside the ring, like rattle Bivol with punches that wobbled his knee's and made him give up his fight plan. That never happened, sure Bivol felt his power but not in the degree of running from the fight or his fight plan. Bivol implemented his game plan did not allow Better to fight the fight that could have given him 21 K. O.'s in perfection. Edge goes to Bivol there. Accuracy goes to Bivol too. Bivol never ran he just boxed and boxed in a good fight. I picked Better to win and he did not win in my eye's. More important now is to watch both fighters as they come back to whatever next fight they choose. Prediction is Better is not the same fighter he was two years ago, Bivol will have benifited more from this fight then Better will. I believe Better labored more in the fight then Bivol did, Bivol made it his kind of fight and Better did not........ Anyhow nice to be excited for a fight and not be disappointed but a fight for the ages ? Naw............
