I didn't see the fight but I'm glad out the outcome. Now hopefully Artur will do the right thing and move up to cruiser and free up the belts so the Davids and the other LHWs can go at it. Also Canelo should move up to 175 and let Jermall, Caleb, Berlanga, Munguia, Andrade and all the other 168s go at it!

It's hilarious how people get all worked up and yell at the top of their lungs, ROBBERY! No robbery, it was a close fight. A draw or close decision for either is ok. Arthur landed more power punches which usually fair better with judges. Bivol landed more jabs, which is fine but if you actually know boxing and know the rules that judges follow, it clearly states who is doing more damage unto their opponent. Power punches do more damage. Look at Bivols face... Period end of story.

I think the location of the fight and religious affiliation had a significant influence on a few close rounds. Turki calls Beterbiev "brother" so that in itself would change the outcome in a close fight.

I thought Bivol might've nicked it. The draw was a very reasonable possibility. I was surprised when Beterbiev got the decision though and I've no idea how one judge gave him 8 rounds.

Great fight to watch though. Hope they do it again.

8 rounds was ridiculous. 6-6 fair even 7-5 Bivol also fair. Unfortunately, Bivol was fading after 10 rounds which gave Beterbiev a draw by winning last 2 rounds. Bivol was the better fighter overall.

You are right. This fight reminds me of De la Hoya vs Trinidad. De La Hoya thought he had it won and eased off allowing Trinidad to come back and squeeze out a decision.

DLH definitely won that fight no matter how he ran the last 3 rounds.

Props to Bivol for taking the loss very very well. Obviously disappointed but he wasn't an ******* crying about it.
I was pretty disappointed that Beterbiev didn't give Bivol any props whatsoever post fight but maybe it was the language barrier.

He did, he said Bivol is a good fighter with maybe better skills than him.
