Fighting a much larger Zurdo immediately after and dominating him in the same way went a long way towards showing it wasn't a fluke. Especially considering Zurdo became cruiserweight champion what, two fights later? Not that CW is exactly stacked and Zurdo is great, but it's still evidence of his quality at the world level. Every Bivol fight looks the same regardless of the style of his opponents. Styles make fights can get trumped by quality. But you think he's a hypejob, and we're days away from finding out if you're making another excellent call.

It's not about that, Beterbiev is all bad for him because Bivol preys on non technical guys and makes it his game but Beterbiev is on a higher level technicallly than Bivol, is what I claim and we find out soon. The other fighters Bivol beats with ease however I don't rate the opposition at light heavy apart from those two.

I wouldn't say "Higher level technically..." but mastering his own technique, yes... Bivol will not go out of his comfort zone and wins by way of Boxing 101 clinic... Beterbiev on the other hand will use any means necessary and will go the very limits of the rule book until you're not willing to go further anymore... Boxing Clinic vs Alienation Clinic, both at the top of their game... Amazing matchup and if Bivol goes out with the win all props to him... I doubt it will happen though ... They all fold and submit eventually...

Nice and balanced article. On paper they both have faced similar level competition. The only real exception to that is Canelo Alvarez who even though is hated by many people on this forum is a level or two above everybody else on both of their records. The other significant point is that Bivol has two current world champions as his victims. For people criticizing his record, this is significant.

Going into the fight it looks like a 50/50 close competitive affair much like Crawford - Spence was before the fight. I don't know why, but somehow I feel that one guy makes it look easy and runs away with it in the end and then the difference between the two becomes obvious.

One thing that goes against Bivol is the jinks of Eddie Hearn. He is having a horrible year and his fighters are loosing everything. This years, I don't think he could get laid in a brothel with a bunch of $100 bills sticking out of his zipper.

Lol zurdo is nobody he did nothing at 168. Did nothing at 175. And champ at cruiserweight is pure **** division. Infact 2 of the division champs are former super middleweight. Bivol's resume is ****. He only has canelo who is a blown up light middleweight.

Great, now the Hall of Fame is at stake here. Any other way anyone can raise the stakes for these two in this fight? Anyone?

You are a bitter hater. What have you done in your life? Zurdo is a two division world champion. What are you?

I don't disagree with the raw sentiment but YOU are nobody. Zurdo and Bivol are both world champions.

saying Alvarez is still a big LMW is the stoopidest statement I seen on this forum in a long time

He weighs 180 on fight night and would die going under 168
