At 147 Margarito was better than Sharmba and was willing to fight him. You can't say Mitchell at that time was bigger fight than Margarito. And, Margarito was also ranked higher than Judah was at the time. And, yes Baldomir was the champ and I don't have a problem with that fight. But, since Floyd fans like to talk money so much Margarito was a tougher fight than Baldomir and very possibly more money that Baldomir.
Please refer to my post on the previous page. Vivian, another fight that called him out to his face, and even called him GAYWEATHER. This was at the press conference for the Gatti fight when Floyd was talking about how Gatti came all dehydrated. Not only was Harris ranked higher than Bruseles, he was the WBA 140 champ. But then again, Mayweather fans conveniently omit that fact. And at 147, Margarito challenged him TO HIS FACE. Once again, another fighter challenges Mayweather to his face, and he side steps him. Arum offered Mayweather $8 million, his highest payday to date at that time, and Mayweather paid $875k to get out of contract with Arum to avoid the fight. Another fact Mayweather fans seem to omit. BUT, he just claimed Mayweather faced the best opposition available to him at 140 and 147.

        J-Ro,

        You are mis- remembering.

Floyd moved up from 140 to 147 to fight Zab Judah. At the time, zab was the UNDISPUTED WW champion and was #10 p4p. FMJ decided on Zab when the 140 fights fell apart.

So, Sharmba was actually a fall-back/tune-up fight for Judah. Sharmba was a speedy Southpaw. And Zab was a speedy southpaw.

The problem arose when Zab lost to baldo right after the new year. Please feel free to verify.

Agree. Too bad it's not on Home Box office.

Cause the Margarito fight was offered to him when he first jumped to 147. Yet he fought Mitchell, then Judah, then Baldomir after $8 million had been offered to him. Which is it? he is fighting for titles, money, or legacy? You fans seem to switch up your excuses for him avoiding tough fights like he does.

The only person mis-remembering is you. When Floyd first moved up he fought Mitchell. Afterwards, Judah lost and Arum offered Floyd $8 million dollars to fight Margarito. Floyd took LESS MONEY to fight Judah for the stink IBF belt. Afterwards the fight was STILL only the table as Mayweathers last fight under Arum. Arum put no extensions on the contract. Floyd elects to fight Baldomir for "alledgedly" $8 million and 1 dollar for a one time fight under Goosen/Tutor. NOT TO MENTION he paid $875 to get out of his contract with Arum who was trying to force the fight. So TECHNICALLY, if what he got from Goosen is true, he only made $7.125 million to face Baldomir meaning he took less money to avoid a hard fight no matter how you look at it.

The Vivian Harris that got KO'd by carlos maussa on the floyd-gatti undercard?

..and then got KO'd by ATG Junior Witter?

I am not hating on him cuz he fought Baldomir. I always prefer fighters to fight for lineal titles. And, I not saying you but a lot of Floyd fans like to contradict themselves. If it is about lineal titles like with Baldomir then he should fight Shane next and fight for a lineal title like I hope he would do. But, then you have other fans that don't want him to fight Shane cuz is not enough money or whatever. So since is all about money then he should of fought Margarito instead of Baldomir. Margarito could of easily been the bigger money fight but also the tougher and more dangerous fight. To me some Floyd fans contradict themselves again I am not saying you but some of them do.
