Inoue, the obvious A-side cash cow undisputed champion, was planning to have a fight in Japan on September and the only question was against who.

Goodman wanted the Inoue fight whether it be Japan or US or Australia or Saudi wasn't an issue, but on December and not September so he took a stay busy fight in July and almost blew it, but is claiming to be ready for December.

Eddie wanted MJ against Inoue on September but on the Joshua Wembley card instead of Japan, and knowing WBA wanted that Wembley fee asked them to skip their turn and order a mandatory with a year still left and tried to force Ohashi to scrap his gym's plans (which also involved a lot of his other notable names) and instead essentially give Inoue's name value to Eddie's card. Ohashi said eff that and WBA quietly took back their order of mandatory as they definitely didn't want lose out the multiple undisputed sanction fees while watching an MJ-Cardenas vacant belt fight in some undercard not Wembley, Eddie b!tched because he couldn't get Inoue at Wembley under his/Turki terms, and MJ still hasn't fought since last year.

Doheny the next highest ranked guy that was willing to fight on September in Japan and Ohashi owed some favors to him so he got to lucky cash bag.

Bonus: if for some crazy reason Doheny refused or couldn't fight, maybe Casimero might have been offered a chance as the placeholder but that boat already sailed.

Who? Please ppl, wake the F up.

MJ is hardly the Benevidez of the 122 division. Hilarious lol.
I know that isn't the point of the post but just to note MJ ain't exactly a kid. He's already 29 turning 30 in 5 weeks, he just has been inactive for a guy in the lower weight class, having only fought 3 times since beginning of 2022 during which Inoue fought 6 times and counting.

That being said after Goodman he is still the best of whats left and the likely opponent for next spring so I hope he doesn't run away after all talk, given his history of evading Fulton like a plague.

Benavidez is actually clearing out guys, while MJ is resting on his sofa waiting for payday. MJ ducked Fulton 4 times for undisputed. Then got beat up by tapales, who he thought was easy. MJ is a joke, all he does is run his mouth.

Stop waiting for Inoue and fight Cardenas or Pierce instead. I've grown tired of MJ's inactivity.

Inoue hasn't been stripped because IBF was next in rotation. You want to blame someone, blame that idiot Goodman. Should have been him, and then MJ. If anyone has earned one voluntary, it's Inoue.

Seems like the plan is to fight Akhmadaliev in Vegas in the first half of 2025 anyway. They want to do a fight in the US before going back to Japan to fight Nakatani at 122, which means he's not going to jump right to 126 after the Goodman fight in December.

There's really nobody else at 122 that would be worth a Vegas fight. Maybe Casimero, but Akhmadaliev is ranked higher and has looked in much better form recently.

MJ has fought more recently than Casimero too. I thought he was the biggest threat to Inoue at 122 and was extremely disappointed that he lost to Tapales. He looked really bad that night.

You do realize that MJ and Cardenas are trained by the same coache and they probably already sparred multiple times.
